@ Zhuge - my feeling is that Mosley didn't seize power during the Recession because he didn't want the job of sorting it out. He'd rather, as you say, let the Federationists hang themselves out to dry.
@ Viden - sorry if that last chapter was very long (it was 5000 words) and complex. Every so often I will have to do one like that to keep everyone abreast of the complexities of Union politics.

The Union of Britain, as it stands now, is exactly the same as the one that begins the game in 1936 in Kaiserreich (with some exceptions - apart from Tom Wintringham, all the people in charge of the Armed Forces are far too young to realistically be in their posts, so are replaced by Mosley (RAF), Chatfield (RN) and Wintringham (Army) respectively.

Well, the real problem is my English level. I can read English but only 1/4 or 1/5 of my normal reading speed. And sometimes I don't understand some words.

SIR –
As a Briton exiled from the land of my birth by Bolshevists who deface the very island of Great Britain by their presence upon it, I consider it a matter of patriotic duty to put my beliefs and objection on the public record by communicating them to you in the hope that you will publish them. Having lived in your fair country for a little under eight months and, in my time as a statesman and journalist, having experienced much of it myself, I have no doubt that you will find space for my thoughts in your respected organ – Canadians, unlike Britons, it seems, are not frightened by dissent.
Allow me to begin by stating, as I see it, the problem faced by Britons living in Exile. We (for I most certainly count myself amongst them) cannot return to our homeland for fear of persecution, torture or death. A villainous line of working men, brainwashed by depraved Marxism and that monster Maclean, would tear us limb from limb before we crossed the gangplank. Even this assumes that we would not be blown to pieces in the Atlantic by ships that a year ago bore the names of Kings, but now have, I hear, absurd titles like ‘RNS Tyler’ or ‘Tolpuddle’. We cannot hope to return to our homeland without military action being taken to remove those in charge of the so-called ‘Union of Britain’. The Socialists have gained power by making promises that they cannot fulfil, and probably have no intention of trying to fulfil. But as long as they govern the country in a populist and ostensibly sensible manner, the people will continue to support them – such is the power of the venom that now runs in the blood of good British men and women towards the monarchy. Therefore it is clear that such military action will not come from within the British Isles, but must be brought to them by those loyal to the British Empire abroad, myself included.
The problem, as I see it, is that the Canadian government – so happy to welcome seven million Britons into its economy provided they built their own housing – has proceeded to do nothing with regards to liberating the British Isles. My colleagues Mssrs. Baldwin and Lloyd George have found their efforts to establish an official bureau to instigate the liberation completely frustrated and ignored by Canadian government bureaucrats. Your own Prime Minister has only granted one audience to Mr Baldwin in eight months, something I as a Briton believe to be an offensive way to treat the rightful Prime Minister of a sovereign state. It is absolutely imperative for the protection of the Empire, the liberation of the British Isles and indeed the defense of your own Canadian state from the scourge of Socialism that we ‘Exiles’ be taken seriously enough to warrant an office, both physical and metaphorical, of our own.
For this reason I am using this letter to publicly state my intention to establish a permanent office for the British Government-in-Exile. Any official of the Canadian government who has the authority to grant myself, Mr Baldwin and others the right to take up residence in a suitable building should contact me through this newspaper. I hope for speedy results and successful future. For too long I have seen Britons living in this country with their heads bowed and with no pleasant thought for the future. This must change. The first step toward establishing an official Liberation Committee (alongside my colleagues in the Armed Forces, in particular Air Marshall Brooke-Popham and Admiral Blackhouse) is creating a permanent and recognised British Government-in-Exile. I propose that the current government will reassume the posts they already held before the uprising in Britain, and that elections be an internal matter in which any holder of a British passport may have an input.
To those Canadians reading this who share my desire to restore the Empire and free Britons from tyranny, I thank you for your support. Enlist in your country’s Navy if you wish to aid the struggle – I am pleased to say that the integration of Royal Canadian Navy with the larger Royal Navy is one area where your countrymen have been of utmost assistance and highly co-operative. If we control the Atlantic, it will surely not be long before the Royal Standard flies above Buckingham Palace once more. To those Britons reading this, I have only one thing more to say: the time for mourning is over. The time for action is about to begin.

Aye, I did some reading on admirals' backgrounds and it seemed more plausible that Chatfield would stay in the Union, so have decided to keep him. I'll make a more detailed case for swapping him on the KR forums later. Basically Chatfeld was low born and very involved with reorganising the armed forces in OTL so isn't exactly the Old Guard.
Thats a solid argument for Chatfield to stay in Old Blighty, but the main reason behind him being in Canada is that otherwise they only have Backhouse and Keyes as well known Admirals. The royalists are already lacking in good and well known commanders in all area's (Deverell and Montgomery-Massinberd won't win you many games). So therefor I guess Chatfield will need to remain Royalist in vanilla Kaiserreich.
Thing is, I would suggest swapping him with Cunningham, whose own empire-born status has never made him a particularly realistic can help the Union. A fair exchange is no robbery!

Excelent updates, Meadow! Such detailed and preciseful descriptions make history of UoB very realistic. Your decision to make Kaiserreich history book AAR was really good choice. I just love KR scenario because you really can't say who is the bad guy in the story. None of the rival major blocs(Entente, Syndicalists, Mitteleuropa) is some kind of demonic force, cause of every bloc is somehow understandable and just(global revolution and liberation of working class, protecting old world order, getting back from exile). Maybe only AUS is some kind of Evil America, with all those badass dark characters leading it. General system of every main bloc is keeping at least basic level of democracy, no matter if this is Syndicalism, democratic monarchism or German imperialism. Real totalitarian regimes are very rare in this alternate universe.

RUSSIANS,
Today marks ten years since the Conference of Omsk where brave President Kerensky forged an unbreakable bond between the leaders of the White Counter-revolution. Brave Generals Denikin, Wrangel and Kornilov, along with their fellows, swore allegiance to the then-fragile Republic and united behind Kerensky. Only the treacherous rat Kolchak refused to take part, retreating to his far-eastern army where he pledged his loyalty to the yellow men of Japan over his fellow Russians. This insult is still borne today by Russia, as his rogue state of ‘Transamur’ sits on our Siberian borders on lands that are rightfully Russian. One day these lands will be reclaimed! One day the ‘Empire of the Rising Sun’ will be punished for its impudence.
But the loyalty of the other Generals was enough. Within two years, the Bolsheviks had been crushed, their leaders killed and Russia’s honour and security restored. Detractors and nay-sayers have since attempted to claim that it was the German military intervention in our Civil War that had the greatest impact on defeating the Bolshevik Reds, but each true Russian knows in his heart that it was our co-operation as brethren of the same state that drove the Red scum back to their strongholds at Tsaritsyn and Moscow, where they died like rats.
Where is Lenin, ‘father of the revolution’ now? DEAD! His body hung on display in Moscow for three weeks.
Where is Trotsky, the scheming rodent who sent machine gun teams against peasants, now? DEAD! Shot through the neck as he fled true Russian forces and drowned in the Volga.
Where are those who hid behind mighty names, ‘the Man of Steel’, ‘the Hammer’ and 'the Giant'? ALL DEAD! Purged from our motherland by the righteous fire of our united White Armies and their bodies left to rot in Tsaritsyn.
Where are those remnants of the Bolsheviks who wanted to destroy our state and enslave us into collectivist tyranny? HIDING! The weasel Bukharin and his motley crew know that true Russians reject them, and if they show their faces they will soon meet their deserved ends. It is only a matter of time, says Security Minister Wrangel, before they shall dangle from lampposts as their Red comrades once did.
But, fellow Russians, ask yourselves also this – where is Russia today, as these men lie in the ground or fester in sewers? RISING! Onwards we go, under brave President Kerensky and our elected Duma! Never again shall tyrants, be they Tsars or Germans or Reds, take away our democratic rights. Never again shall revolutionaries and anarchists seek to murder upon our streets. In the Kaiser’s Germany, you may write to your representative in the ‘Reichstag’, but will he reply? Not unless you are high born to the point that your name has ‘von’ in it twice! But write to Pavel Milyukov, brave President Kerensky’s loyal Prime Minister and servant to all who dwell in Russia, and he will reply to you within three weeks. Such grace, such humility from a man with so much to do – this, fellow Russians, can only be found in a functioning democratic republic such as ours.
So today, Golos urges its readers to do their duty and celebrate the Republic. We have freedoms today our fathers only dreamed of. The right to vote, to protest and to dissent are enshrined in our constitution and under the leadership of brave President Kerensky, we shall forever defend these rights from whoever seeks to take them from us. Fly the flag from your home or business today! Throw street parties in memory of Omsk! Shake hands with a soldier who fought for your rights should you pass one in the street! Above all, fellow Russians, CELEBRATE YOUR MOTHERLAND’S REPUBLIC ON THIS, ITS HAPPIEST DAY!
