Good stuff. I have a 14-year old son who looks older than Besuchov! He looks a bit like the villain from Casino Royale. The military system sounds interesting... glad to hear there will be Ninyas 
Interesting that it will be a tad more goal-orientated than the other games. I wonder how that will affect AI behaviour.

What I mean is, will the AI be actively struggling as hard as possible to become Shogun, to beat you to it, or will it be somewhat more passive? For instance, not every country in the HRE in EU3 is doing its best to become Emperor.
I think like most students of Japanese history I cringe when I hear the word "ninja", but I liked the way he answered the question

It'd be nice for a rival clan to unify Japan only for it to fall apart after the death of its ruler.
Yes, it would be great if the player could be in a situation like Tokugawa Ieyasu, where the unification is technically done by another clan but you manage to usurp them and establish yourself as shogun after a Sekigahara-style battle.

It's nice to have these interviews, see the devs actually talking about their project. Personally, I would prefer only having the dev on the screen and hearing his answers to questions. It feels more natural that way. See this interview with Doomdark for example.

The game plot (like real history) is actually driven by the ancient conflict between pirates! and ninjas.
I think I will buy this game in addition to CK2! I'm liking what I see here.
