Hmm. It appears you're right. What ASM does the the Backfire carry now, then?
In wartime, It would carry an ASUW load of six AS-16 Kickbacks (Kh-15) in its internal weapons bay. (plus four on the wings in some cases)

What about a persistant campain, something like total war series or if you have a campain mode like fleet command and say uss nimitz is sunk in the first level will it stay sunk or will it be raised,repair and recommision for later levels.
