I've just played through the first thirty years as Robert Baratheon. Some highlights:

- I won in two years, used the "die" cheat on Aerys and Rhaella, then edited the save so Jaime would have the excommunicated trait (to represent his Kingslayer status)
- Jaime wound up trading his white shield for a black
- Cersei was laready married, so Robert married Lynesse Hightower. When she was caught commiting adultery, he remarried ... to Jeyne Westerling!
- Jon Arryn lived to be almost 90. Petyr Baelish died in 2 years
- Every single one of Balon's children died EXCEPT Rodrick - even Asha
- Eddard Stark declared war on the Night Watch, and when he died Robb took two-thirds of the Wall.

Some observations:
- The Osgreys are pretty wonky. It's hard to believe a twenty-year old man has a twenty-eight year old son. Also, their CoA is wrong, and they need claims on at least Coldmoat
- The Cognatic Succesion option doesn't work (I tired it as Dorne. Nothing happened)
- The Wights just sit there and do nothing
- Not too thrilled about the new faces (though this is an aesthetics thing)
- Rhaella should be dead, as she died giving birth to Dany

that does sometime happen also when you open the list of possible brides. but that happens without mods aswell :)

Oh, okay. Yeah. I figured as much. Thanks.

LordBlekinge: I wouldnt reccomend playing a wildling or Clansmen I havent fully fleshed out events specific to them, but there is an event to conver to the Seven.
Genghis: Are you sure you installed DV and the latest DV patch? Id reinstall if i was you.

thanks Grell, I have a vassal who is a clansman, so was just curious about him. Another Aussie, Weagles fan per chance?

- The Cognatic Succesion option doesn't work (I tired it as Dorne. Nothing happened)

You need to be running Westeros.exe (which allows female inheritance) instead of Crusaders.exe (which doesn't) and you need to pick Semi-Salic Consanguinity (which allows the strongest child, regardless of gender, to inherit if female inheritance is allowed) rather than Salic Consanguinity (which is restricted to sons). I've tried it and it does work. In my current game as the Tyrells, I married Willas to Arianne and am currently set to have Dorne pass into Tyrell hands through her.

- The Wights just sit there and do nothing

I've seen the Others just sit there and do nothing, the Others get conquered by Mance Rayder, and, on one occasion, the Others conquer all the Wildlings. It varies from game to game.

Also, minor complaint, Olenna Redwyne should be alive at the scenario start and living in Mace's court (and be a little more worthy of being called the Queen of Thorns than her stats suggest).

Also also, here's a quick-and-dirty Varys I made:
Code:
character = { id = { type = 10 id = 9283 } name = Varys gender = male dynasty = { type = 12 id = 10000 } dna = "00011005125050" attributes = { martial = 1 diplomacy = 7 intrigue = 7 stewardship = 4 health = 6 fertility = 0 } traits = { pragmatic = yes celibate = yes illusive_shadow = yes loyalist = yes } country = BYZA religion = catholic culture = polish score = { gold = 15 prestige = 25 piety = 0 } birthdate = { year = 1070 month = january day = 0 }}

Okay, here's a list of stuff I've done to bring the mod more in line with the books (at the expense of never being able to use the character tab):

-Brought Maege Mormont and Olenna Redwyne back to life, gave them the appropriate stats, connected Maege to her daughters
-Added in Endrew Tarth and Grand Maester Pycelle
-Connected Arwyn Oakheart with her son Arys
-Changed Evenstar to Semisalic, got rid of Brienne's nonexistant sister (by changing her into Big Ben Bushy, ironically enough), gave Brienne Martial Education (which the computer keeps changing to court, for some reason)
-Completely overhauled the Osgrey family - the family patriarch is now old enough to be Ser Eustace's and Lady Rohanne's son, and thus old enough to have children in their thirties

Some future ideas:
-Making Pycelle a friend of Tywin Lannister
-Adding in the courts of the 7 kingdoms (namely, the maesters and septons)
-Expanding every family tree back to Aegon's Landing if possible
-Giving Aerys claims on the rebels' lands and titles
-Making the Kingsgaurd vassals to the Iron Throne
-Giving the Osgreys claims on at least Coldmoat
-Making Mace Tyrell and Doran Martell rivals

EDIT: Hmm, anyone know any programs to view what a character looks like? Lack of this has left everyone from Aenys I to Daeron II with brown hair - except Blackfyre, who wound up looking like a Lannister

Thanks jmberry have spotted most of these and fixed them. I have completed the new Scenario set in 300 AL (along with expanded map to Pentos, Braavos, Tyrosh and Lys). I am just testing several games over a hundered years to see how things pan out and fine-tuning / balancing. Dany and her dragons are difficult to implement. Giving her a dragon trait and a combat event which fires in battle is the best way of implementing - BIG problem is that females never lead armies so the event wont fire for Dany... I cant figure out any other way plausibly implement the dragons... might have to just settle for events offering extra standard troop types.

ETA on new Scenario Upload either tonight if my testing goes well or tommorow if I need to tweak alot more than expected

As a workaround I have made an event that fires a couple of days into a seige if the liege (i.e. Dany) has the Dragon trait. The seige is instantly successful (wiht a small chance of the leige losing the trait/dragons). The owner of this will also get extra troops flocking to their banner. Its not ideal but it does achieve the "super weapon" role the dragons played in Westeros history, and allow for "blitzing" the map. I will try and make a battle event to 'remove_regiment' and fry enemy commanders too.

judicious use of "condition = { type = any_enemy"

:)

Events are working well... only nagging issue is Dany has no heir, due to Baratheon's having a Targaryen grandma Tommen inherits Daenerys' Queen title lol... not good

I recall some Targs fled across the narrow sea during/before the time of Bittersteel, best solution is create one of these living long lost descendants? (or just allow the game to generate a random Targ country cousin who is always male and shocking stats)?

shocking bad or good?

I don't think anything's been writing about the Bittersteel line - no names, no personalities, nothing beyond an offhand mention on the Wiki that they have the Blackfyre Sword. The next book is called "Dance of Dragons" so presumably Dany deals with their legacy at some point.

As for the Blackfyre line, they're extinct - Maegor the Monstrous was the last of their line, and he died during the War of Ninepenny Kings. The only other option I can think of is the fate of Aerion Brightflame's infant son, who was passed over in favor of Aegon V.

Also, maybe you could make Tommen a bastard, to represent the (correct) doubts on his legitimacy?

And Joffrey.

Jorrfrey is dead at the start of this Scenario. But yes Tommen as a bastard might be the best option, because he was also sometimes inheriting Stannis' Kingdom.. which was also way off... handling the imprisonment of Cersei and Margarey is another tricky one...

I have read some of the sneak peak of the chapters, Tyrion is in Pentos thats fine... but where to put Varys? Shall I assume Victarion is in Daenerys' court?

I have uploaded a new version which has the new scenario set AL 300.

The AI seems to have trouble getting Dany to do anything, even when I have given her Stepstones, outrageous dragon events, claims and rivals on Tommen.
The poor old Ironborn still get ganged up on. Their lands arent wealthy or numerous so I also give them far too generous extra troop events but even then they dont do very well. There is also an event for non-Ironborn to suffer shipwrecks.

Feedback appreciated.

I've been using this tool while tinkering with character DNA files.

Also looking forward to trying out the new release.

Okay, so my first impressions:

Like:
- New scenario! Whee!
- Extending the map east! We get Dany and Pentos and Braavos!
- Very impressed that you actually made separate cultures for each Free City and the Dothraki.
- R'hllor!
- Dragons
- Duchy-level great houses! This'll make things getting sorted out much easier.
- Dorne's inheritance is (as close as possible to being) properly implemented
- Arya is apparently ready to kill everyone.
- New crests and a handful of new factions.
- General new content abounds

Dislike:
- I... um... I think the reason Daenerys isn't invading is that you've made the Narrow Sea the Very Wide Sea. It's wider across than Westeros! We don't really have a truly canon map of the Narrow Sea yet, but this comes close. This is the only real problem I have with this version.
- Semi-salic primogeniture still not default succession law for some reason.

Nitpicks:
- Doesn't matter much, obviously, but considering Robb's reputation as a master strategist, he should probably have a three- or four-star martial education.
- Poor Olenna Redwyne is still dead.
- It really bugs me that Stannis can't be made properly R'hllorist without making the game unplayable. Not an actual suggestion here, obviously, just grumbling.
- Shouldn't Arya be in Braavos?
- Is it really necessary to give the Freys their own tag for Riverrun?
- A minor thing that's been bugging me: shouldn't the titles of the leaders of the Night's Watch and Kingsguard be "Lord Commander," not "Master?"

Apart from the above, nothing immediately jumps out at me as wrong. Looking forward to seeing the new events in action.
