They are in southern Egypt and I think Alexandria rebelled against them, not 100% sure.

My latest game I've been playing with the 0.4E, a multiplayer game, I am play as Emperor Arturus I (or III because of the new empire) Pendragon. My friend is playing as Duke of Wales (He owns both duchies in it) Massen III Artious. I got lucky with an invasion into Brittany, which was inherited by a Lotharing, because they got stuck into a civil war. Right now I'm trying to reform my new imperial government, and nearly every vassal now wants to revolt. I was very surpised by Pannonia forming, some random Darcian nobles got lucky after the first king of Darcia died. Eriprus is also ruled by a Roman Mithric-Christian from Illyria. I very good game!

I looked into LI out of sheer curiosity, but it turned out great, despite my dislike of everything antiquity-related. I stared of as Ruler Designer-made duke of Silesia, then expanded into Polonia -> Slavinia empire. Had some luck with breeding - 5 out of 8 rulers were geniuses, and somehow I acquired Seleukos blood trait.

Overall great game, through I have three suggestions how to even improve the mod:
A) There is too much money, ever since ~1200 I am basically swimming in the gold, and so do my vassals.
B) Usage of Conquest CB works fine in early game, but later makes game really unpleasant, since yours vassals are restless, expanding your territory and leaving their poor ruler jobless :) and in overall, I thonk it would be nice for borders to stabilize in mid-game.
C) There are too many events that leave your char as either lunatic (WAY too many of them!) or idiot - and on the other sides, too many events "pay laughable amount of coin for supertrait"
D) I think it would be nice to be able to change your kingdom laws not only with ambitipous characters, but also rulers with traits like natural leader, etc. And by the way, original traits like diligent, craven, etc. disappear way to fast.

I have some idea that I think would fit this mod nicely: put in "Conqueror" taint, which would allow selected, supertalented character to swallow whole realms, but at cost of noticeable penalty to reputation (tyranny?).

Very nice! I am amazed to see Tulunids do so well! :O

Thank you for your suggestions!
A)I will definitely look into.
B)I kinda like it - but when I actually get time to play I'll see how it works in practice better.
C)On lunatic events - there's actually very very few, a tiny % of all the events you could get - and you you have an option not to become a lunatic - I might reduce their chance somewhat though.
D)Yes I am thinking I will add traits to conditions for example for military laws brilliant strategist etc...On traits disappearing I've made it so they disappear less a while ago but I might look into that again soon.

Actually tying a "super casus belli" to a very special trait is a great idea I should look into when I revamp casus bellis again! :D

My current game (big image, so linking):
Brythonia 1136
Daneland lucked into a couple big inheritances on the continent. I'll have to see if I can drive them off Great Britain.

Queen%20Siwan.png

The warrior queen of Brythonia. Too bad she can't take the field of battle.

Stuttering should be a congenital trait for the Empire of Britannia title hehehe. I'm impressed with the map in your screenshot... BASRA! WAH! Bergslagen... lol. Maybe the new demesne laws from my current private build are not at fault for the wierd results of observe games of late hehe.

I formed Hibernia, conquered the lowlands of scotland and inherited Suevia :D All in 80 yrs

Game in observer mode. From the very beginning SPQR was kicking ass. The Sunni Caliphate too, but they collapsed multiple times.
SPQR switched to a Catholic heresy about 50 years in. I wonder how the map would look if they could do crusades :)
Gallia formed very fast, and was extremely stable (which is surprising, considering all of their rulers being foreigners in those lands - Normans).
Khwariziwhatever their name is - got kicked around by the Sunni Caliphate all across the map, but they survived.
Norse did not last long at all - they mostly disappeared within the first hundred years.

And this is the last Norse man standing, surrounded by SPQR:

wow Ive never seen the SPQR be that successful before, at most they unite most of Italy in my games

@caesarian

Inheriting is going to be harder now... I've put agnatic in 99% of places.

@Mercadi

Those results STUN me. SPQR! Raumariki! I almost find it a pity I had to rebalance things now. :(

Ravenna is a beast too.

Britannia 1189

Same game, 50 some game years later.

Queen Siwan's martial stat peeked at 25 before old age began to catch up to her. Unfortunately the 25 martial (and otherwise good stat) quick designated heir died young of disease, long before she did.

My first Lux Invicta game, playing Aquitaine:
ncrDKh.jpg

Note that I also own Mortain (sp?) in Normandy. I'm planning on conquering all of Normandy in due time. Why? Funny story: the starting king, Arias IIRC, is Romano-Gothic. There are only two romano-gothic provinces in Aquitaine, Burdigala and Agen. He married his son Abbelino to the countess of Mortain, Oriel I. Arias was known as "the Mad" and one of maddest thing he did was proclaiming that he could choose any heir he wanted. Granted, he still chose his first son, Abbelino, who became king Abbelino I. Sadly, all his children were Norman catholics and he didn't want them at the head of a Romano-gothic Arian kingdom, and as such he chose his brother, Aliulfo. Abbelino died eight years after having been crowned, due to wounds from fighting. Aliulfo I didn't fare much better, dying eight years later also, with Abbelino's oldest son as his heir: the Norman arian Buiso.

So, Buiso I eventually decided he desired to own the lands of his maternal ancestors and claimed Mortain a few years before his death in battle. Now, his heir and daughter, Oriel I (known as the Great), wants to perpetuate her father's wish.

------

There is a lot of bad blood between the De Bourgogne family and the D'Aquitaine. As the dukes of Burgundy, they were at their height around 1120, at the coronation of Buiso the Wise. They owned Bourges, La Marche, Bourbon and all of Arvernia until Buiso came around and took them. Originally this started because, legally, La Marche and Bourbon are part of our kingdom. Then it became apparent that owning Arvernia, constituent of our other rivals' kingdom, Septimania, was a good move, both by weakening Burgundy and denying it to Septimania. All of these conquests brought a few De Bourgogne to Buiso's court -- fellow Arians, no less. Buiso decided, always wisely, to invest in a war to place Bourgogne de Bourgogne ("Don't ask", she used to say) on the throne of the duchy. Of course, he won the war. Burgundy was now arian and the former duke was now only the duke of Berry, barely owning nothing but a single county of this duchy. He was destituted when the king of Neustria usurped his title, making him the count of Lyon and Sens only.

The other rivals are the kings of Septimania, the Alamaracids, fellow Romano-gothics. The rivalry started a longer time ago than that with the De Bourgogne, with the fight over the county of Toulouse, which ended in our favor. While they are fellow Romano-gothics, they are no Normans and, also, they are filthy Cathars. Our kings conquered the duchy of Toulouse piece by piece and finally got back the county of Avennio, the last Arian stronghold in Provence and home to our Presbyter. In due time, the shine of Aquitaine shall extinguish that of Septimania around Toulouse and Arvernia.

------

Okay, roleplay aside, it's a great game so far, I really enjoy not having big blobs from the start. I have a big remark though: why is the duchy of Toulouse split by the duchy of Arvernia?

Also, check the album for religion and culture maps.

Not a game per se, but my current revamp of Britannia in my private version... I kinda like how it looks atm. :)
