Sorry for the long delay, everyone!

India always leads the way in Asia, even if it is the field of applied nepotism!

And yes, Chinese ambassador for Emperor! (or PM or equivalent)

Or, at least, they'll always have Paris. No, wait, that was Dalip.

Applied nepotism sounds like a college major. Given the useless crap they actually have, it would probably be an improvement.
That'll teach China to expect people to get along on their own merits.

Meritocracy is clearly overrated! India will show Asia the way. Nothing bad can come of this…

Gunkaar has taken iniative to negotiate with the former Chinese diplomat. Consider the beard a success :D .

Great work. I'd like to see what ultimately becomes of the offer.
Beards make men out of boys. They don’t necessarily make them diplomats, but we’ll see how this goes…

And so begins a beautiful friendship. :p
wonderful line, up there with some film that ended with the start of a beautiful friendship
If I had known it would have taken me so long to find the time to get back to this, I might have even ended it the same way…

Does this mean we'll be seeing more of the Chinese envoy? I'm growing quite fond of him. :p
It might…

Ahd here I thought Gunkar was a gentle idealist, when in reality he is merely a more competent schemer.
...and the naive mask is shed, revealing the brilliant mastermind beneath.

:D

There’s no law against being both, is there? :p

I wonder what Gunkaar could possibly be planning to accomplish...

You've got me intrigued Selzro!
Plots within plots… :p

Chinese ambassador = 19th Century equivalent of Wang Jingwei?
That remains to be seen. But India is hardly historical Japan in its imperialistic desires towards China…

Curious and curiouser.

I like Gunkaar's thinking. The former Chinese diplomat's current outfit would be rather wonderfully complimented by a 'Grand Vizier' sash after all.
I agree!

I love seeing some underhanded dealings.
It’s the best, and often most underappreciated, part of diplomacy! :)

Serbs too have that phrase: "Medveđa usluga".
Ah, so it’s widespread in the Slavic world then!

That Chinese Envoy just looks Evöl to me...
Hm, I’m not sure what that is…

...Ambassador for Emperor!
That’s a shout you don’t hear often… :p

Hmm, the beginning of intresting intrigue!
Always fun!

Just fount this... one word... EPIC! :D
I’m glad you enjoy it!

Definitely a Puppet or Add to Sphere Wargoal.
Chinese pupetization ?
Could be, could be…

Just finished reading this. Absolutely glorious. Any chance of an upcoming update?
Thanks! Update incoming…

No problem Selzro. RL comes first.
Can wait, especially when you take the time out to pop in and let us know the current status of things. Definitely the gentlemanly thing to do. =)
Thank you for understanding!

I love this AAR... Subed.
Welcome aboard!

58: Preparations

Why has the ex-PM (was it Dhain?) still got his PM sash? He's not PM anymore!

The first demonstration of Rule 34 in recorded hiistory? Even dynastic heraldry isn't safe!

Great as always. I'd like to see Dalip get visited by one of his old school friends. I wonder what they'd think of their drinking buddy now, the bane of the British Empire!

Ah, it's a bit complicated. You see, before (and immediately after) unification, the Royal Party was in power, with Dhian as PM. After unification the parties changed, so the successor to the Royal Party is the Nationalist Congress. Dhian plotted to have Gunkaar made leader of the Nationalist Congress but the new war (started by Dalip) has pushed back that political transition, which means Dhian is still the PM although his grandson is the leader of his party. It's only a short matter of time before the transition is complete.

By the way, since I was getting tired of working on only one AAR for over a year I took some time to write a new, very small, AAR here: A Hyderabad Holiday Special.

Nice, a present for christmas. And a very good one too.

Long time lurker first time poster. Just wanted to congratulate you Selzro, for being so BA at Vicky 2 and writing that my brain hurts. Marry Christmas and thanks for the new comic.

So while, Dalip prepares his wall for the Great Punjabi Dragon mural, GunkaAr has shown his true colors by siding with the hated Chinese.

BURN GUNKAAR AT THE STAKE! TO HELL WITH CHINA ANYWAY!

Nice touch with the slightly different shade of brown where the workmen are preparing the wall.

Gotta agree with this:

Even if Gunkaar gets his way, we still have to see the mural design.

Though, just in case, I suppose this is a good time to remind everyone that this is a family forum...

Hum, it looks that the young padawan is trying to overcome the "master" ( given that we are talking of Dalip, master is maybe a little too much, though :D ).

So, in the end, what is the plan of the not-yet PM for China ? Puppeting, maybe ?

I concur, Its not often you see internationally offensive murals sketched by Parisian-trained Rajas.

Don't forget absynthe-driven, my friend!
