But where do we find those colony name defines now? The old file (countries_special) seems to have vanished.
Did you install over 1.2 or over 1.0? The beta is not a cumulative patch, so it must be installed over 1.2.
 
My primary feedback is that this is awesome, and you are amazing.

That being said, four specific bits of feedback to give, one of which was mentioned by me way back in the "Suggestion Thread".

1. (The already mentioned one). It would be great if you could add another digit of precision in the inflation that is saved to the savefile. The game uses precision to at least the thousandth of a percentage point while running, but when saving rounds to the nearest tenth of a percentage point (less precision than is actually shown in the ledger!), which can have annoying effects (either positive or negative) when saving/loading a game.

2. Dunno if this would be easily doable, but it would be nice if clicking on the building notifier multiple times cycled through the provinces with buildings available. Not at all crucial, especially with the new building map, but convenient.

3. The option to send another colonist in the success/failure notification message is amazingly useful; that being said, there doesn't seem to be any difference in the message when the colony has reached city status. That would be a good thing to add to it if not too much trouble.

4. At least in the 1600x1200 resolution, there is a very slight alignment issue between the "Classic Map Mode" button an the missions button. Specifically, when the cursor is over the bottom of the Classic Map Mode button, said button is highlighted, but the mouseover text is for the Missions button. Very minor, but figured I'd mention it.

by the way, are old mods still playable? I have AGCEEP 1.59b4 , Watkabaoi 2.04 and Plvs Vltra newest version. I launched agceep and it didn't crash, I don't know if it ovverrides some changes you made, or something?

Are they safe to play to enjoy all changes you made, or should I rather play vanilla?

Mods are not 100% compatible because they rely on vanilla localizations, tags and shields/flags. They won't crash but some shields/flags won't be visible among other things. I'll be uploading a compatible version of Plvs Vltra soon.
 
I've done a little playing now, and one thing was slightly annoying (and this was not so in 1.2):

- At 800x600 (I like the large font) the top header on your sidebar (directly under your shield icon) is not there. The image isn't there, and when you click some provinces the names just seem to overwrite each other (without the old one disappearing), making it an unreadable graphical mess. Also when scrolling around the map, it blurs in bits of sprites from the map into that sidebar area (adding to the mess :p).

This was solved by going to 1024x768, which is fine by me for now. However, I assume it is some minor / easily fixed thing? (I know for sure this problem wasn't there in 1.2)

Other than that, it looks really good and I will be happily playing it ;).

Great news for a PV player as myself. Still the best mod I have played.

Vanilla AGCEEP has not worked for me since mid 2012 and I was a tester with 1.3 :rolleyes::sad:

Last test was in my Lan environment, 1 laptop(dell v131 cpu:i2310m mem:8g video:gma hd3000), 1 PC (cpu:i5 2500k mem:8g video:gtx 560ti). OS are all win7 64 ultimate.
The test on vanilla due to AGCEEP not updated with 1.3pb.
The CTD appears after several successful attempts, the failed one is 10th or 11th, I can't remember clearly becuase I only want to test this bug whether still exist in 1.3pb.

Could dev send me debug-exe or more detail log exe, so that I can provide more info.

adfs, can we test it? Do you have steam/skype/gtalk or something on which we can chat?

There are a number of factors at play:

- rights (run as administrator)
- compatibility mode (Win XP SP 3)
- static IP
- firewall & router ports (2302-2400 and 6073)

Oh, I didn't see this. Well, one CTD in 10/11 attempts is not that problematic... I mean, it could be unrelated to the CTDs you experienced before.

I only looked it up in the rar-archive. So the game still uses the countries_special? Yet some country entries have other "New" entries denined, like MEC or VEN. Shouldn´t hose be GER and ITA instead as those are standard for Italian and German nations.
 
I have no international IM now. Maybe I could install&register one.

comp mode->not tested with 1.3pb, but in my past test(1.1/1.2), it does not affect the results.
static ip->2 PCs are all static IP
firewall->Lan and firewall disabled

In my past test(1.1/1.2), the CTD was also have probability like now, x/x. So i think this CTD bug is the old one like before.
