RADIO BROADCAST 08:00 - "The New Mexican Republic has today sent a diplomat to our country. What they wish to discuss will of course be listened to by the NCR with open ears."

A short statement from a spokesman at Camp MaCarran today, as news comes in that rebel forces continue their push against the New Mexican Republic. Rumours are strife that there could be discussions of intervention being placed on the table.

My response to FUSA's Diplomat:

"Un-gag this man, he may claim to be a diplomat but is he? If you are truly what you say heed this, the Enclave will accept a treaty favorable to our terms. One that may benefit both our nations different ways. That is what I expect from you, go back and tell your government we will negotiate some sort of treaty. If you are not who you claim to be I will see to it you are put to death for your actions against the Enclave. Let it be known the Enclave will negotiate a treaty with the Former United States."

RAIDERS/CAESAR´S LEGION

CaesarLegionSymbol.png

Night falls over Flagstaff...and the sound of a motorcycle is heard all around the hills controlled by Caesar. A raider, in full spike armor, appears at its gates and demmands to speak with caesar himself. He assures their leaders have a nice proposition to provide the Legion with more soldiers...but, of course, all things have a price...

The offer is quite simple: the raiders will provide Caesar with more recruits, and in exchange Caesar will give supplies to Raiders when acting near his own base. Will the Emperor give his consent?

MANITOU TRIBES

Fallout-Elder.jpg
The tribes have just appeared into the strange relatioships of the Wastelands. How will the Manitous deal with the nearby Texas Cathedral? Some chiefs want an immediate war plan to end with their nonsense and dangerous beliefs, whereas the majority of the tribesmen want to have a more pacific relationship to be able to live in peace. The Shamans, however, believe in a long term plan, integrating some of Texas´ beliefs to gain prestige in the Wastelands and expand more effectively.

"You see the dead sentries? Shamans say our enemies' souls are trapped in them, but Joshua says it shows we're serious about fighting White Legs" , Follows- Chalk.

MUTANTS

19554551290283392.jpg

It is a common statement that mutants have plenty of enemies and only one ally: themselves. However, the Nightkin do not believe such affirmation, and are convinced that an ally could be found south of their encampments. Could this be true, or it is just another of their mad words?

Should the Nightkin venture into the deep and unknown Red Wastes, maybe risking their own existence...or should they be kept as a regular fighting force?

"I'm gonna eat your arms... when you're dead, human!," common mutant phrase.

Apart from the issues mentioned above, we still have to decide before starting a new turn:
- FUSA/Enclave relations
- NCR/Mexico treaty
- Texas form of state

Caesar received the raider (under heavy guard) in the antechamber of his complex in Flagstaff.

The Legion had long been affiliated with the raiders of the east. As such, Caesar was willing to indulge them, especially if they offered men for the war machine. Having listened to the request in silence, he motioned for a scribe. He whispered to him for several moments, as the latter hurriedly transcribed onto a peace of paper. Then, he removed a medallion from his pocket and handed it to the scribe, who in turn presented both medallion and letter to the raider:

Know that the bearer of this seal is in the service of Caesar the Great, Son of Mars, Conqueror of the Eighty-six Tribes, Commander of the Legion; and so shall be entitled to such hospitality as can be provided throughout the lands of the Legion.

OOC: Just a clarification I accepted the offer of a treaty but no deal has been reached.

He accepted my treaty, we are going to be peaceful towards each other in the face of the raider threat, what's left to decide?

OOC: Just a clarification I accepted the offer of a treaty but no deal has been reached.

I only need to know if it´s just a flavour treaty (friendship treaty, blahblah) or if I should consider a non agression pact is signed.

OOC: Well it really depends on what the FUSA wants to really offer but right now I'd say it's a non aggression pact.

It's was a non aggressive pact and an affirmation of support against the raiders in the communication I had with the previous guy.

The door is still closed.

For two hundred years, the door has been closed. Not one of you has been allowed to cross it and enter into our precious city. One of the last remnants of the civilized, happy, safe and peaceful life of the past. We won´t allow foreign barbarians destroy our peace, our safety, our civilization. Our happyness, carefully bringed to us by the Overseer.

But the times are changing. Isolation has its benefits, but interaction with the outside world has its own advantages too. Should we deal with the outside world? Should we trade, travel, share, make allies, friends maybe? That would make our nation thrive. But, what would happen if we find war instead of trade, enemies instead of friends, death, destruction and desolation instead of prosperity? Are we ready to give up our traditions, the way our ancestors happily lived, and take this unknown risk? Is our society mature enough? The Overseer has longly thought about it. And his choice is: yes. We are ready. We are ready to open to the outside world. But it must be carefully done. We must take all the needed precautions, to not be destroyed by our own innocence. We will deal with you, people of the Wastelands. But not lightly. Show us you are worthy of our friendship, show us you are worthy of cross the door, and enter our loved city. Do it, and we will respect you.

If you aren´t worthy of it, and show us you are just a lowly, uncivilized, contaminated barbarian, the door will stay closed. And it will be, forever

NCR/MEXICO

The non agression and friendship treaty between NCR and Mexico is signed according to the clauses included in The Oak Creek Accord.

RAIDERS/CAESAR

With the return of the delegate, Raider´s commanders know now that a profitable relationship is being initiated with Caesar´s Legion, mainly exchanging slaves for money or other raw resources and materials (from now on, CL and Raiders can exchange Resources for Manpower each turn; both players should send an order if they want to, and each one would lose for that turn 1MP/resources and gain 1Res/MP and viceversa).

MANITOU/TEXAS

A group of Tribesmen is sent to contact the Texas Cathedral, hoping to learn more from their religion and beliefs and, if considered necessary, sign a treaty with them. (Texas must first decide what kind of Government he wants, in the line of the eralier event).

I know today´s event are very short, as Ive been busy in the last couple of days but wanted to keep the game updated. After the weekend has passed, we will set another deadline for turn 2 (thursday again, probably) and orders will be accepted again. This weekend will be for resolving the last pending public/private events left, and players can also begin thinking/roleplaying what they will do next turn.

Mind that Mutants and Texas can still send their orders related to the later events, please do it before Sunday or they will not be accepted.

Gamorrin shrugged. "Trusting in nightkins and rumours has done us well so far." he stroked his beard, some of the mutants always thought him wiser when he did that "Let them go. If they succeed, we may have found what we need to battle the Brotherhood, if they fail, they will come back harder and stronger. If they fail completely, well, that's that." he looked to his trusted lieutenant "Go with them. Make sure they don't do anything stupid, but don't get in their way otherwise."

Order: Let them go south to search for allies, with a lieutenant sent along to observe and intervene if things go sour.

MUTANTS

Gamorrin´s faith in the crazed mutants seems endless, and os he decides to explore the mysterious regions known as the Red Wastes. Observed by one of his Liutenants, the Nightkin will venture south and discover whatever lies in the desolate territory of their southern border.

What will they find? Only the Wastes itself know...

"My memories of being a human aren't as clear as they once were, but I remember pettiness, hatred, jealousy... I prefer being a mutant", Marcus.

RED WASTES

20101127145102!Perk_wild_wasteland.png

For the first time in decades, some reports seem to confirm that someone has dared to enter the Red Wastes zone. Is this an outage, or an opportunity? How will the new leader of the Red Wastes react to this events?

The most natural choice would be the obvious one: try to anihilate those fools who defied this lands with no notice of what was lying in there. But it is not the only option...Although some may think of this as a bizarre choice, trying to find more about the visitors and eventually speaking with them in peaceful terms may also ensure the northern border. And there is even a third choice, one that could be called crazy and unholy...must the red Wastes open its lands to Mutants visitors and found an unoly alliance against mankind?

"We were here before the fall....", NMA

CAESAR´S LEGION

fallout-shelter.gif

Finally, Caesar´s Frumentarii have managed to open the strange gates that guarded the unknown building found by his scouts. As often occurs, it was not strength but cunning what was needed to do so, and the frumentarii managed to melt the lock and open the doors. To their surprise, they did not found any riches or supplies, but a gigantic computer covered by the dust of what may seem ages.

Next to the ancient looking screen, what seems a ramp is covered by a huge blast door, probably controlled by the computer. The Frumentarii were about to activate the computer, but their commander realized that this decision could only be took by Caesar himself...and no one should overstep him...will Caesar dare to open the door?

"Make your way to the Hill. Something very interesting... awaits you", ??????

BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL
Mojave_BOS_banner.png

It could be said that the BoS is some sort of dimplomatic crossroads. Surrounded by enemies, the BoS can effectively defend themselvs against almost any single attack...but what would happen if they were attacked in a two front war? Would they resist?

That is way the paladins are summoned to a meeting, in order to decide how they should proceed towards his neighbours and other nearby factions. Should they rely in their strength, and take opportunities as they come? Or maybe it would be better to cool down things with Caesar´s Legion, who could also be trapped in a two fronts war? Or maybe a long term plan could be enacted, sending diplomats to nearby factions that also see Caesar and the Mutants as a menace?

"Forecast: Cloudy, with a chance of friendship", The forecaster.

There were times when autocracy had its drawbacks. For Caesar, those were the days when it seemed even his highest-ranked henchmen would not open a door without his say-so. After all the time that had already been devoted to this mission, it irked him that so much time had been delayed while this information filtered back to Flagstaff. Of course, had the Frumentarii proceeded without informing him, he would have been apoplectic with anger and had them all crucified. But capriciousness was a perk of office.

Caesar never trusted technology. For him, it engendered weakness and dependency. It was technology that had destroyed civilisation; it was raw labour that would rebuild it. But the Legion was at war. And in times of war, ideology took second place to expediency. Whatever this vault held, it would certainly benefit the war effort. And if he happened to lose a few legionaries along the way, it was a necessary sacrifice.

ORDER FROM THE COMMANDER

To Vulpes Inculta, commander of the Frumentarii;

Know that your request for further instructions was received by Caesar the Great, Son of Mars, Commander of the Eighty-six Tribes, Commander of the Legion. After diligent consideration, he has authorised you to proceed with caution. Open the vault and send a single scout to investigate. If all is clear, proceed with your mission. Failure shall not be tolerated.

LEGATE JOSHUA GRAHAM

A mutant gazed into the distance, ever cautious. Slowly, one form appeared, then another, and another. A horde was coming for him, and he had to get away. He whipped around, intending to flee, but more ghouls encircled him. The last thing he saw before being crushed under the sheer weight of bodies was the staring, lifeless eyes.

OOC: I'm assuming ghouls are basically zombies. That's what I've gathered, at least.

Some of them are. A lot of them are like immortals, the ones that aren't insane.

OOC: Whelp, I wonder how well stealth boys work against feral ghouls.

And, yeah, a fair number of ghouls are actually intelligent. But just how many feral and how many 'normal' you'll find does of course vary from place to place.
