Wow.
That's a splendid update (especially the ending), well worth your newly accrued WritAAR of the Week award!

I see you either had some minor issues with the names or there's a fad in the Imperial Court for mathematical expressions in one's name.
Look at the advisors in the first image:I looked through the update several times and I still don't get what you mean here. Could you explain the joke?

Splendid! Tver has not seen such a bloodthirsty ruler since Konstantin III the Pious! And this guy won't be held back by some silly 6th commandment. Even Boris's grandfather pales in comparison, as he lacked the even the abysmal intelligence required to outmanoeuvre the Tverian nobility (on the other hand, with the policy of "More quality. Less morons" enforced from the early XV century, you'd think that these guys will finally learn...) For a legitimate reason, when I look at Boris, I think of Ivan the Terrible. But being a sick and absurd person, another character comes to my mind as well.
Edit: A thousand curses on you, Colonel Marshall for stealing my idea of a complement summing up this update! I vow revenge!!!
Edit to an edit: ... or it might mean that I just fell asleep before clicking "send message"Anyway, don't worry, the revenge I vowed will consist of emuing you with a message less elaborate and worthwhile then yours on some occasion

Don't worry about the length. I am always excited to see an update.
Well, the fires will certainly forge Dobczyńska into a weapon for Tver. Boris is a fool to treat her so, though. Duty vs. Friendship is a hard choice.
Who cares if the updates are shorter than normal if the quality stays this high. I see you either had some minor issues with the names or there's a fad in the Imperial Court for mathematical expressions in one's name.[/QUOT
A curse on your eagle eyes, I was hoping that nobody would notice thatI noticed and sorted that months ago but I'm playing catch-up with the writing. Haven't played the game in months!
I don't see anything wrong with the length of the update. If anything, the only problem is that it's right at the bottom of the page, so readers will have to flip back to compare it with the comments. That's why I always check the number of posts before putting up a AAR update.
Anyway, I'm withholding judgement on whether Boris is a hero or a villain. He seems to be following all the right and proper procedures expected of a Tverian Emperor while his servants continue to deviate from their duties, truly a paragon of virtue in these dark times. That doesn't necessarily mean that those procedures are conducive to a long life expectancy, though.
Ah yes, that is a bit of a pain and I'd far rather it was at the start of the next page. Ho hum. And you're right about life expectancies in the Tverian court. Dangerous place, especially once accusations of incompetence and treachery start to fly.
So now the Tzar is advised by an old bearded women? This can only mean good for Tver![]()
...shut up
Been following this AAR since last summer. It's been a fun read! Hope to see a great continuation of the Tverian saga.
Glad you've enjoyed it my friend, thanks for letting me knowI will try and keep things up to your standards!
The Rurikovich line is dead!!!
