What's all this? Another patch? Yes, it's true. After talking to some of our players in Australia while on a press tour for EUIV, I promised to fix the Councillor/Government screen crash in Rome. So go get it in the tech support forum.

2.36c:
- Fixed crash when having a free councillor position
- Fixed a crash that could occur at the end of civil wars or when countries switched tags
- Missions to get access to trade goods now complete correctly immediately when a trade route is done setting up

Jebus christ! Once again the game gets a little bit better!

But as the usual party pooper I have to say that I think this makes everyone's life easier related to non-existence of Rome2. The community doesn't have to cry about beta patch and the PDS doesn't have to think about any Rome game ever again (if they don't want to) because now they've completed this one.

A little bit confused due the "(BETA)" text still in the title thou...

I'm so glad I asked you, even if I did almost miss my train. :) Awesome, Henrik, it's really great of you to do that.

Glad to hear you didn't miss the train, and it was great meeting you folks in Sydney. :)

Aw yeah.

Nice to see that this is still getting some attention.

There are bits of EU:R, the likes of which aren't to be found in any other Paradox game.

In what way?

Because I've understood that the letter "c" in the end of patch means "completed".. Correct me if I'm wrong.
It just would make sense if a = alpha, b = beta, c = completed

Endlich

Not at all, they are merely sub-version indicators of the overall beta version. You'd never see an alpha in public ...

Yep, and d will mean "done-ish", e will mean "edging toward final" and f will mean "final-ly almost done" :p

Ah okay. Thanks for the public humiliation :DD
And no hate towards Paradox but at times it seems that most of the things they publish are rather alpha stuff because some games need so much patching up..

My pleasure, no need to thank me.

I guess you haven't played a PDS game released in the last two years. Oh, wait, you have CK2 registered ... OK, I give up.

Well, I think that it almost any game from any developer or publisher. Every game I've ever played has a community who complains about the same thing, even when the game no longer has support it is still not perfected. Thats the nature of things, no game can ever be perfect. But that said, I do think that it would have been nice if this game got more support. Yes, thank s to Doomdark for continuing the patching process, but I wish there had been more of an intentional love from the devs about the game, which could have been so much more had it been given the same focus as EU3. .

Doomdark, I love you. :eek:o
