Because he make up theories as to why random is better than not random on day one, and :

1- it's wrong and this one vote is aimed at proving it.
2- random is always a baddie option.

"random" is bad. Reproducible pseudo random is great, if consistent and combined with only meaningful changes.

And how do you propose that I should vote not random, when I am the first one to vote?
Furthermore how can what I do be worse than pulling a name from a hat?

Psychology my dear Wagon. Baddies have a tendency to overexplain themselves for no reason... struggling too hard to look like a goodie I pressume. That's why my vote stands. Beats 'random'.
