I am really looking forward to the player's choice DLC! I've got two suggestions - one single bus and one tram.

Bus: Orion VII Next Gen

This bus comes with a mixture of a modern and an older looking design. It is thus usable very universally and is well fitting the game in my opinion. It is used a lot in American cities (especially Toronto is using this bus type in priority) but its design allows to use it also in european cities. I also believe that it could be (optically) combined very nicely with the other buses already in the game such as the Ness Translink for example.

TTC-bus.jpg TTC Bus.jpg

Tram: Bombardier Flexity Freedom

This tram train is looking quite modern - but not too futuristic. You could use it in a larger version for peak hours and a shorter version for night hours by coupling seperate units (second Picture). It could work like the Prospecta Royal - having two different variations in M/L. Similar to the Orion bus, this tram is fitting american as well as european cities with its design and could make its way on all maps available.

I would also like to repeat suggestions that have already been made, but might got missed as there was only a few words about them. I think those are beautiful models that deserve a picture:

Mercedes Benz Citaro (bendy!) and the MVG subway type C2

I am looking forward to the poll getting started. Can't wait to vote!

Despite the fact that I woke up this morning to find all of my saves gone, including a sandbox map of Central City where I was at 98% reputation with nearly $10M in cash , I only have one vehicle to suggest: the overhauled PCC electric tram (Presidential Convention Committee, originally built in 1947, overhauled in 2001):

PCC (rebuilt).png

NOTE: Earlier machines were created in 1941 but had air brakes instead of electric brakes, plus the 1941 PCCs had NO porthole-like windows above the normal ones.

Hundreds of the electric-braked models were made in 1947 for Philadelphia to match the curvy stylings of the automobiles that were being made during the period, and lasted well into the 1970s before their first overhauls, and a slow replacement of these with Kawasaki "K" cars beginning in 1981 (see below). The city had DOZENS of tram routes, five of them leaving/entering tunnels and running on the city streets, but by 1992 every single trolley route except for the Subway-Surface lines (the streets-city tunnels routes) which used K cars exclusively to this day. In 2001, Philadelphia saved eighteen of the 1947 models from the scrap heap, stripped them and rebuilt them to serve a single route as a heritage line, re-energizing one of the most bleak corridors in the city beginning in 2003.

The ones that Philadelphia didn't want were practically given to San Francisco as a gift for the MUNI line (they were hard to sell off), and dozens were left rusting in the sun until they were wastefully scrapped.

Another suggestion is the 1981 Kawasaki car (known in Philadelphia as the "K car"):

Septa K car.png

These replaced the 1941 PCC cars (the ones with the then-faulty air brakes) and are still used today on the Subway-Surface lines. They're also built like tanks - one took a broadside hit from an SUV a few years ago with merely minor scratches!

Hello everyone,

I am seeing regularly the exchanges on the forum of CIM2, unfortunately unable to participate ... But with this exclusive information that the creators of the game offered us the possibility to suggest new vehicles, I am obliged to submit those I dream to see on the streets of cities of CIM2:) ! ...

I join the request of "Norflok_Chris" and I beg into my knees the creators to not deface subways, to put them driving cabs at their to 2 ends ! ... In the same vein, I pray them to gradually modify similarly subways they have offered us in the Metro Madness pack ! ... I 've seen pictures of suburb trains, but I don't think we can really integrate them until we will have cities with real surrounding suburbs , stretching up to 40 kilometers from the city center ...The zonal pricing will then fully all its meaning;) ! ...

So here are my suggestions :

I-PARISIAN BUSES:

The SAVIEM SC10U is a bus that date, but I have chosen it for its unique design that has never been reproduced with the same accuracy anywhere in the world ! ...The creators of the game can reproduce it in the identical pictures as its industrial assembly line no longer exists ...And If I could add the sound of its engine, none of you can escape to his magnetic attraction ! ...

PR100.2

The PR100 was one of the most popular bus with SC10 in the streets of Paris, but also in the rest of the world to Australia! ...

II-PARISIAN TRAMS

These are the most modern trams of Paris, indeed this mode of transport has made a big comeback in 2007 since his disappearance in the 60's:

III-PARISIAN SUBWAY

I saw a participant proposed the 2 most popular subway trains of 2 different generations, MF67 and MF01(the last one), so I would add another no less important:

MF77:www.metro-pole.net/actu/article613.html

Would it not be a further subject for technical characteristics of each vehicle:huh:?!...

Love the PCC car!
+1

In addition to the Evobus in the game, which corresponds to the Mercedes Citaro, I'd love to see two more models of it. These two (especially the G) are some of the most common busses in Europe (and even in the world) and therefore they can't be missing in CiM2. On top of that, CiM2 is definitely short on articulated busses, which is quite sad; especially now, as you included the EU-DLC (almost any larger EU-City has articulated busses!)

Mercedes Citaro G

Mercedes Citaro L
citaroL.jpgcitaroL2.jpg

Thinking of trams, the Siemens Combino XL (here with an unique front-design for Berne) should be included as well. It comes with a modern but not too futuristic design and would fit in almost any city. If you like, there're also shorter versions with 2 cars less.

III- METROS

MF77

The MF77 has an output of 1500 kW. One train measuring 77,44 m, with 5 cars for 121 tons and has a capacity of 574 passengers, including 128 seats. All cars have a width of 2.46m and feature 3 sliding doors per side.

With the hope that my vehicles will took into account:) !

I would +1 the Volgren that was on the first page by bagbuffy, though my preference would be it in the form of an artic, given we already have two similar buses in standard length, so it would look more like this: Image. (Or both, I would also accept it in its non artic form as well, provided it had decent ish capacity and good speed to do long distance runs on the freeway)

It would fill the gap in artics quite nicely plus looks quite nice and less boxy than the citaro. In addition, at least currently I still have the citaro as an option in the normal size so I would preference this over the suggested citaros.

In terms of Metro, I would also support the double decker suburban train such as the Millenium train posted earlier or its successor. Its not exactly metro, but it would make up for it with its capacity.

I feel spoiled for choice with the trams, though something old school and touristy would be cool. A Melbourne W Set perhaps? (Image)
