I assume LA stands for Language Arts. MLA is a system for citations, I'm pretty sure. They're pretty important in most essays.
For my project on the Odyssey, we had to do a tableau with our group, and build a diorama, and draw a picture, and make this whole presentation. It was actually pretty great.

That will just lead to people complaining.
Wasn't it that guy who was reading his paper in class while you guys were told to start reading on page x?
And what is MLA? LA was literature analysis right?
Er, the guy who read the short story aloud. MLA is a format for citing sources, eg:

Stalin, Joseph. "Why waffles are good." Communism Sucks.
America.com, 22 October 3001. Web. 24 November 3028.

Then you cite it like: Stalin claimed in his seminal paper that "Waffles are good" (Stalin [page #]).

Yeah, LA is language arts.

But you're still in high school, right? No worries then, nobody actually cares about anything you do there.

Full rules added. The important part to note: You may forge or post a PM from anyone including myself, but you must not post the PM ID number or a forgery there of.

Also 16 of 17 players have posted. If @Gorganslayer posts in the next hour and a half, the update will be at the end of that term.

For future reference the GM is a Cubs fan and statements like these may make life hard for you :p
Oh, already full. I guess I'll

Given the speed of signs up the past few games. I probably should have reserved you a spot. Whoops.
Old Boreanaz and Young Boreanaz are two different actors.
Still hot.
Why is no one RPing as Cordy? :(

Anyway, if you're going to write spoilers for season 3 and beyond in the updates, please give advance warning [eg, spoiler alert].

Sub.
I need to work on my Cordy/Buffy slashfic.

Damn you and your invincible ace

They best your team recently? Also are the Cubs playing American football or baseball?
The cubs beat my team, the pirates last night and I'm at dead sea level saltiness about it. Theyre baseball teams

Be upset at MLB for having a moronic playoff system where the team with the 2nd best record after 162 games can be eliminated in one game. We needed this win...

It was an undeserved win for the Cubs?

How many games do you have a season? 162+ seems really ridiculous...

Also isn't the Cubs those who cannot win? Isn't it the Cubs never winning which is a running gag in movies or am I misremembering?
Why so mad? It was to be expected given that roles went out when he was sleeping and deadline is in the early morning for Gorgan. Remember he lives in Australia.

I'm beyond pissed off at the current system. This is the 2nd year in a row where we've been screwed on this

No they deserved the win *grumble grumble*

This is just the 2nd year in a row my team has gone out like this

The three best teams in the majors are all in the same division... which means that it's impossible for one of them to make it into the playoffs, and impossible for two of them to make it to the NLCS. It's a really screwed up system, especially given how good the division's been the past few years.

They've rebuilt their team and done pretty good this year. Given the Regular Season standings they are the third best team in baseball. If you include their playoff preformance you might even edge them out over the Pirates. It really sucks to be the Pirates for the past few years. They're one of the best teams in baseball, but because of how it's been organized they can't seem to advance very far, even though they should be achieving much more than they are.

Baseball teams play nearly every day from the start of April to the end of September. It adds up,

The Cubs haven't won a world series since 1908, appeared in one since 1945, and last was their first playoff win since 2003.

Baseball already had way to short a post-season compared with it's regular season. Why they decided adding a one game playoff was a good idea is beyond me. They could at the very least go back to not having the wildcard play their divison winner. So we could avoid having the Cubs playing the Cards while the Dodges and Mets get a free pass.

The Cubs finished a game back of the Pirates in the regular season, last tied them :D

So there is league games every day for 6 months? Wow. How can they avoid getting spent by that?

So the playoff winner has to play another knock out game? How ridiculous is that?

Also go Serbia! They scored against Albania... Now we just need to score against Portugal.

Baseball is a marathon game. No one game is particularly exhausting (usually), butt here are a lot of them. As well, the pitchers change on a rotation. It would be impossible for a pitcher to give three quality starts in consecutive days. At the major league level they throw so hard that you just can't do it. Pitchers do a lot of the work, so it isn't too bad.

And no, the Wildcard game, while technically the playoffs, is primarily in use because it is recognized that sometimes there are very good teams who, because of organizational reasons, may not make it into the playoffs, and so a one-game playoff is played between two of the best non-division leading teams in the league (there are two leagues, equal in size) to determine who goes on to play in a Playoff Division Series. It just so happens that having a wild card also guarantees that nobody gets a bye round in the playoffs, which is helpful.
