Fist grand strategy will go to space to conquer where no gsg has conquered before. Then gsg can venture into the deepest dungeons to face the most fearful of all dragons.

Seriously though, Rome 2 and Vicky 3 first.

Stellaris is a scifi game.
Im asking for a game with elves, dragons and wizards.

Something like "Forgotten Realms: The Grand Strategy Game"?

That might be interesting. I mean Stellaris has that Ethos system, in a fantasy setting that could be replaced with a Good/Evil-Lawfull/Chaos axis thing?

Stellaris just became a thing. I'd want them to wait a few more years before starting a new series, as Victoria and Rome still needs new installments. I do like the idea, however.

There is a mod I don't know if you have heard about it, but Elder Kings for Crusader Kings 2 is really REALLY great. There is also a Game of Thrones mod, I have not played that one since I have never seen the series.

There is also this mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=515939886 I have not tried it but I have heard it's quite good.

That said some where in the future I would not mind a fantasy grand strategy game, and I know Total War is also making a fantasy game so Paradox might also.

I too would like a fantasy grand strategy game from Paradox. Perhaps they could do it in between Hearts of Iron IV and Victoria III, like how they've been doing games in between major projects:
Sengoku -> Crusader Kings II -> March of the Eagles -> Europa Universalis IV -> Stellaris -> Hearts of Iron IV -> Fantasy Grand Strategy -> Victoria III -> Cold War Grand Strategy

It'll probably be announced first, but like Hearts of Iron, it will probably release later due to extensive testing and sheer amount of work in general. So we will probably get an in between, but also a full-fledged game like Stellaris.

I think it's highly unlikely anything gets made before victoria. They aren't making any other sequels until after victoria and there's no way they release two new ips in one cycle. If they make a fantasy game it'll probably be in the place of stellaris 2.

I'd be up for a PDS Fantasy GSG as well, although as others have said, before Vicky 3, not afterwards (and I have a lot of sympathy with others who'd say before Rome 2 - I'm just more of a Vicky person). They won't run out of games to make anytime soon :).

The historical accuracy debates in such a game would make for interesting reads on the forum, if nothing else.

That depends a lot on how they do it. If it is a freeform/random map a la Warlock, Master of Magic, etc. then not so much but if they license a popular IP (Middle Earth, GoT, etc.) then they could be impressive nerdrage-fests

You do know what that means, right?

Yes.

FTL, magic monster from outer-dimensions etc etc. It is Science-Fantasy you can wiki the meaning of Science-Fiction if you think that Stellaris is sci-fi

to qualify as a science fantasy you have to abandon even the pretense of being scientific in the areas. FTL is not doable as of our current understanding of the universe but including it, especially as they give some plausable explanations for how it works, is not enough to qualify as science fantasy. You don't need to be ultra-hard on science to qualify as science fiction.
