Can Orcs not be differentiated into different cultures under Orcish and different skin toned faces be assigned to those cultures?
Well yeah, i mentioned that as the most annoying part of making orc faces, in the original game several cultures use the same faces (franks, germans, english, scotts, italians and so on) while orcs would require the oposite where all the subcultures of the orc group (red, green and black (pale?)) would have completely different face graphics.

The issue with that is that its not just repainting the base face to red (which is a bitch in itself since the "color change" tool replaces all colors with the same shade and saturation of reds but the faces use not only greens but also blacks, browns, grays and yellows for shade and lights so they all become dark red or pink which ruins the image >.> ), but also repainting all the face parts (all eye.dds files, all foreheads, all necks, all cheeks, all mouths and so on and so on and so on).

Orcs pics look great

Well everything is better than not existing..

To make the face pieces not clash no matter which ones are chosen they all fade into eachother and are semi transparent at the edges to avoid tearing and obvious borders but paradox have done such a haphazard job when they programed some of the layers that some weird situations appear (such as mouth being below hair level so i need to cut a tooth hole in all hairs to make the orc tusks show but if i use the "notusks" tooth.dds then there will be a tooth shaped hole in the hair...)

Lots of small clashes and issues that annoyed me while doing that.

The same issues apply to trolls since they come in several colors as well.

How many races do you guys plan to launch with? Will they only be playable races from WoW or will we be seeing minor races (kobolds, gnolls, ogres, etc)?

Everythings looking great so far, good work!

Current plans include (but lacking culture breakdowns for detail)
Orcs
Humans
Trolls
High Elves
Dwarves
Gnomes
Goblins
Undead
Gnolls
Kobolds
Murlocs
Naga
Ogres
Dragons
Troggs
with a tiny chance for Elementals if we need to fill in certain gaps, that may actually just wait for 2.0 tbh.

Dragons as in dragons dragons or like Krasus while in human form?

Well, both are dragon dragons. Hard to have one without the other. Given how long dragons live and the sort of advantages that Dragons have in terms of stats, they wont be for the player looking for a serious challenge.

Meant it more as in will you take the easy way out and have them use human portraits or make dragon ones?

well dragon portraits would be incredibly simple to because they would be single pictures ie AGOT mod dragons
That wouldnt be very fun tho.
Alex would have the same portrait as Krasus and all the other red dragons :C
And Malygos, SIndragosa, Saphiron, Kalec and the rest would have the same blue one while the size and power difference is immence :C

Any plans to add northren and the vrykul to the game ?
"planned". If this mod is a big success and we feel we are up to the task of adding kalindor we will. Only after adding Kalindor we will then add Northrend and all that comes with it.
Build 1.0 will be release of EK Build 2.0 will be release of Kalindor and Build 3.0 will be northrend.

Right now we are on build 0.37. Meaning we have already made 37 (only available to modders) updates todate

Early Orc Characters
These orcs look really good, good job there
Why thank you.

But they are quite different from my side of it >.>

All i see are the small blemishes that refuse to go away.

Here, have a pile of random heads with different eyes, foreheads, noses, tusks and hair.
orc8.png orc3.png orc2.png orc4.png orc10.png orc5.png Orc1.png orc7.png orc9.png orc6.png

The artwork also doesnt match the common normal human from CK2 but this is the best image i could get, still have customizable parts and fit generally well into the frame.

Edit: on second thought i hate this image and that i placed it so low that you cant see a lot of the hairstyles very well and makes it all look shitty. (e.g tied up hair doesnt show)

Edit2: Aka beard update: 10/10 paradox, hair level is over beard one so braids on shoulders lie on top of full beard.

Not that orcs are the biggest issue in the world.

Humans, elves, dwarves and trolls play quite a bit of a larger role in history and are all part of the base mod while orcs come in way later.
