Number 9

[Shinkuro Yukinari]

Inspired by the Seventeen thread in the regular Vicky 2 forums(https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/seventeen.1035988/), I will try to do an AAR in a similar fashion to it.

Concept:
Start in 1836.
Pick the nation ranked 9.
Play for 5 years.
Return to Step 2​

To make this more fun, I will set a goal. Get rank 8 with all of the nations I end up playing(preferably GP status, but given various shenanigans with switching ranks and Switzerland sometimes having gimmicks with getting GP status I will use a screenshot of me being #8 as proof of completion)

As for mods, I will play on Vanilla 3.04 , due to Mods often streamlining the game into massive point differences between #8 and #9

So, look forward to a jolly AAR, and a fun challenge!

Vic2 is old and weird, while the forums are new (and weird in different ways). At least you can take maps automatically in Vic2.

For my AAR I use Greenshot. It's an open source soft. You can frame dynamicaly your screenshot an upload them directly to your image hoster. very helpfull. Youcan choose the format of the screenshot obviously.

That's going to be one of the issues with breaking into the Great Powers: it's not enough to reach Rank 8 or above; you have to also have someone else remain below Rank 8 for 180 days. Too much churn, and it doesn't happen. Rising into the Secondary Powers, on the other hand, is instant.
