I give up.

Fresh install of everything, Ck2 base game and Ck2+. Whenever I start a game, doesn't matter my religion, culture, etc, it starts out with every ruler starting a Great Blot, from the rank of Emperor down..simultaneously.

Weirdness aside, I'm back to getting CTDs at random times, but the only consistent thread seems to be the three times I've started out as a count to a King or Emperor and the event that fires where a faction wants to back me as a Usurper. Upon winning, I can play for a while but eventually it crashes when I start moving through the tabs after being made King. First time was as a Zoroastrian, last two times were as a Tengri count that took over Avar from their liege. Both games began in the "Early Middle Ages" bookmark, no consistent rebellion date.

Running the current version of the game (2.7.2) with the current version of the mod with India, and the checksum is MLER.

Maybe I've still got some freefloating file from some obscure mod or previous install floating around. Time to scrub my steam apps..

Poor boy had chest pains for the last 10 years. No physician dares to treat him

Turns out he doesn't even have a disease event flag. No wonder the physicians aren't treating him.

Not sure if bug but, yeah...

EDIT: I know RIP.5005 in vanilla does give a long chest pains duration, though it also set the flag disease_not_serious or something on the character. In Plus the rip_sympton_events.txt file isn't there anymore, so no idea if this is WAD

Files that aren't in Plus are loaded as they are from vanilla.

usually in cases of chest pains, fever or headaches etc, the game gives your character the flag disease_not_serious you can see the flag using charinfo

this flag allows the character to be get treated by a physician, and also eventually recover

Ah, not a bug. If that flag isn't set, the "disease" will progress and develop further.

UPDATE: Erm, you know i don't think so...

He's like 20 years old now, still chest pains. Been going on for 20 years now. Still no disease event flag. Still not treated by any physician. Either this is a bug or life must really suck for this poor fellow lol.

I wish i have more info for you mate

I noticed the female_councillor_events.txt was ported into CK2Plus from vanilla, however the CK2Plus event does not give you the option to refuse appointing them! So your powerful vassal, whose stats aren't really that bad, can be dismissed and you get stuck with a -15 General Opinion modifier for a few years. and there's nothing you can do about it.

Also, ze_ambition_events allows any vassal with the appropriate ambition to spam you with requests of council position regardless of their actual power or skill, sometimes leaing to -50 overall opinion modifier or worse. It's like back when any vassal with a higher skill than your councillor could do it, only worse because now they don't have any regard for skill or vassal power.

The count of Suebennia in 769 is catholic.
Is that even a province in CK2Plus? I haven't been able to find it.

It would be helpful if you could provide a character id (It should be at the bottom of the character tooltip)

I was having trouble in a specific save file that after a certain point, whenever the current pope died the next pope wouldn't have the papal states, just the duchy-tier patriarchate of rome (or whatever) title. There was no Patriarch Supreme or something that would give a reason for it to be intentional as far as I could tell. Tried a number of things via console commands to fix it, and removing the duchy of latium from one of the pope's vassals and giving it to the pope stopped the problem and made the succession normal again. Is that working as designed? Checksum was JLKN.

Edit: Also, in CK2Plus\Events\cm_culture_conversion_events.txt There's code to stop Visigoth culture from flipping to Castilian, Catalan, or Andalusian if the top liege is Visigothic and Emperor tier. However, there isn't anything to stop Visigoth from flipping to Portuguese in that case. Suebi also have no way to stop their culture from flipping.

The id for the catholic character in 769 is 200058
oh, you meant the province c_santiago. It looks like vanilla added a character file named suebi which only contains this character, which hasn't been added to plus yet.

This worked perfectly fine when I tested it, but I belive it got broken somehow in your game since it's a very very fiddly system. I'm really tempted to throw the entire system out the window at this point.

Fixed!

A series of bug affecting the all-tribal and regional pagan religions start:
  • Count tier vassals are still indicated as chiefs even though they as well as their liege have converted to feudal since generations:

20171016205154_1.jpg The Liege
  • Well, this:

  • Aztecs do not receive any decadence malus:

20171016205053_1.jpg But, there's no decadence icon
I've been messing around with cheats, true, but the hell?
I wish I could upload the savefile, but the forum won't let me.
