The blue/red badge is the Valhalla badge, which was the $85 tier.
It was also rolled into every tier above it, wasn't it?

Note: My "BETA" badge has not unlocked.

That one is replaced by your beta badge because you backed at a high enough tier to get it. Unlike the old forums, it seems here you only get the highest level badge you earned for backing rather than all of them.
I wonder about those who are here and pledged at the 1k+ level. Did they get their custom emblem carried over to these forums as well than?

Oops, was watching the action and not the details.

That was an Atlas II. ER lasers and pulse and all.

Now that would be nice as the Backer Atlas. :p

It doesn't seem too strange though, does it? I was sure they said there'd be some Star League tech sprinkled into the single-player game, and the gauss rifle was in the beta files...

It looks more like it was being tested instead of really being in, honestly.

Yeah, the weird labeling of the ER and pulse lasers suggests that.

On the other hand, they must have known that someone would jump onto every wee detail. So... teasing, or did this slip through their filter? :thinking face:

I had to reinstall the game on Steam for it to sync for me. Once I did that it immediately appeared after I clicked SYNC. I tried it hours ago without having the game installed on Steam and it would not give me my avatar.

It seems that the badges are:

battletech_standard.png
Gold Atlas head: Standard Edition
battletech_Deluxe_icon.png
Black Atlas head: Digital Deluxe Edition
BTbacker.png
Black "Backer" icon: Backer below $50 (no beta access)
BTBeta.png
Black "Beta" badge: Backer $50 - $84 (included beta access)
BTinitiateoftheorder.png
Valhalla badge: Backer $85+ (included beta and Valhalla)
(Thanks to @Catapult and @gigau who first pointed these out to me here)

the system must be bugged up than because with both stellaris and hoi4 using different badges for different levels, you get your current level badge and all those below it.

Bugged up, or by design? Just because one game does it one way, doesn't mean all have to do it that way.

Mitch turned to me and was like, "Well, I guess there are some shots of the Atlas II in the video."
Me: "Does it matter?"
Mitch: "Nah. It'll give the internet something to speculate about."

And it took less than half an hour for someone to notice and post!

We are a little bit hungry for information about the game.
