Give historical characters a little icon, put it in some corner.

I'm curious even Paradox even has a record of which characters are intended to be historical.

CK2 had a button on many characters that straight up led to their wikipedia page, so you could learn more about them. It'd be cool if we got an equivalent.

They certainly have a partial list: CK2 came with a button that could send you to a person’s wikpedja page.
I also imagine they have some sort of central repository of history junk. It likely has been tended with different levels of care, so some parts are likely less useful than others now.
EDIT to add: there is, fortunately, a current mod that adds info about historical figures in game.

It would be extremely helpful for people on the team who would like such a thing to be able to point to something in the suggestions forum with a lot of upvotes. Just sayin'.- 16

I'm reminded of my old suggestion, not sure if it's in the plan list, but I believe this little feature is perfect to add to the Wandering Nobles event pack
