Hi everyone!

I’m Mariina Hallikainen, the CEO of Colossal Order.

We are so happy for the incredible support we have received from the community for Cities: Skylines II. This gives us all the more reasons to keep working on the game and improving it for the future. There are many players enjoying the game as we speak, but we are also very aware that there are still people facing difficulties. We are doing our best to address those issues as quickly as we possibly can. Please keep sending your feedback and reports on issues you might encounter, they are very valuable for our continuous work, and we promise that we are looking through everything that is being sent our way.

For transparency, I will personally write a weekly update on our social channels, so that if you want to, you can closely follow what Colossal Order is currently working on, and what our plans are for the future.

We are very grateful for the community and your exceptional support - a huge thank you from the entire team at Colossal Order.

We wish you a very lovely weekend, hopefully playing Cities: Skylines II!

I'm glad to hear all the negativity has not taken the wind out of your sails, have been having tonnes of fun with the game my self and I hope it will become the best city builder there is in due time!

Where is it we contact you to share anything we notice or feedback we have?

For example I've notice something with the shadow textures and the retaining walls. The shadows next to the retaining wall are not smooth like the top of the wall but seem to follow the topography of the land instead making it look jagged. Sure its a minor fix as it's just aesthetic.

Love the work you are all putting into this. It's going to be magic!

Thank you Mariina and Colossal Order,

this Game clearly needs work but the Idea and groundwork is there.
For me its easy to trust you guys because first step is recognizing Problems and then fixing them and you do this in every way, listening to the feedback and being open about the Problems you are facing.

For me the list isn't that big for now, to see into a bright future with CS2
- improve and stable the performance
- add Animation to police, firetrucks and so on
-make the cities less sterile add live to the cities, parks, Sportfelds and so on(Animations again)
- sound needs some balancing I feel a school as example should be noise during the day
- fix the Cims, people should go to work. And if they home be in there house. Not sleeping Infront of the house or standing in the driveway wail its raining.
- fix the not existing Economy please, not everything should be imported or exported

That is the only thing's I hope come in the next patches our atleast get addressed if they are beeing worked on in the future(like Animations)

Have a great weekend Colossal Order Team

For me, CO has built tons of good will over the last nearly a decade of CS1 support, and I have no doubt the same care and attention will continue for CS2.
Obviously that good will is easier won and lost for some people, but I'm sure I'm not alone in my position, so don't be dissuaded just because hot air rises.

Seems like the kind of thing we need right now, not in a week. Timeframes on when we can expect modding, timeframes on how often to expect hotfixes, timeframes on when to expect major major major major major bugs like "the entire economy system around resource management isn't working" to be fixed...heck, even just letting the general public who isnt browsing these forums obsessively KNOW that these are known issues.

Does this message mean that there is no one working on improvements this weekend?
I hope nobody is working at the weekend. That's totally unnecessary. It's a game.

And since everyone at CO has surely been hard at work on the release this week, it would be illegal. In Finland, workers are entitled to a weekend break of at least 24 hours, and normally 35 hours. There's no emergency here, so I would expect the 35 hours to apply (though I am not a lawyer). (Source, see p.41).

You’ve done an amazing job at CO. When the sun sweeps over my small town in the morning. It’s amazing. The game is beautiful and the gameplay will be, for several years. Folks have patience with the early bugs, it will be worth it.

Loving the feedback, which is helping reassure that y'all are here to stay. Looking forward to being able to play once the pipe-snapping bug is fixed!

Nice PR blabling. 99% people are having problems with this game, 1% have 4090 and don't care about others, or just fanboys which happy to have 10 fps on 5k $€ pc's, and attacking all people saying "bad words' for the game. I had all major dlc's for CS i really loved playing the game, but this state is unacceptable.

Furthemore not only there are fps issues, but a lot of bugs which are flooding your forums which you simply ignore.

So why are you satisfied, when 99% of your customers are unhappy from releasing such a broken game? I was this close to order ultimate edition, but before releasing I was saved by sites which review Your game.

You should say SORRY at least to all fans, but no, you simply ignore them, acting like nothing major happened.

I hope that's gonna cost you a lot for now and future. Take for example CEO of Cyberpunk. At least they had balls to admit that.
