Hi, i'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this or not, but I had a general query about the language used in your strategy games (eu/ck/hoi/vic).

As far as i'm aware, c++ is mostly used (please correct me if wrong) at the moment but I was wondering if your future games would continue to use c++ or if there were any plans to move over to Rust or something else instead?

Having the game engine shared between all of the games and written in C++, and where all games build their logic and tie it over the engine (more or less), would make the code swap unlikely. Also keep in mind the dev teams are hired based on their C++ expertise, not Rust experience.

Rust i like, what, 5 years old? C++ has a long history, with lots of available programmers (relatively speaking).

I have no Rust experience myself so can't really judge, but I assume that it will take a few years before it's even an option to switch.

Not too mention C++ has a very large ecosystem of useful tools. It'll be a while before Rust has those.
