When I launch the game an error message pops up saying that I have no read/write access and I need to contact support. I will include 2 images of the error messages that are popping up.

I looked for the launcher-v2.sqlite files and renamed them and nothing happened the next time I opened the game, same error messages. I then deleted those files and still nothing changed. When the game does launch it doesn't recognize that I have any DLC owned even though the ones i do own are colored in like normal in the single player menu screen. When I try and start a game it immediately crashes. This same thing is happening with HOI4. I also have CK2 but that works fine. I am very confused, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Has the launcher ever worked on this machine? Or never yet?

What antivirus app do you use? You need to make sure all these apps are in its exceptions lists:

eu4.exe and dowser.exe (in the Steam EU4 folder)
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2022.15-rc/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

IF that doesn't help: Right click on Documents in the left column of File Explorer, just under This PC there. Go to properties, location. What does it say in there?

The launcher and game have always worked except for the lest couple of months, I've had this game and laptop for a few years now and never had an issue before this.
I use windows antivirus, the default app that comes on all windows computers, no 3rd party app. I'm not sure how I'd add the files to it's exception list, but I feel like this should already be there if anything considering the game has worked on this computer for at least a full year before this past month. Clicking on the documents tab of my file explorer and going to properties and location it says this: C:\Users\Justin\Documents (Justin being my computer username)

Well, the launcher is having trouble getting to that folder for some reason - it does exist I assume?

In the Windows search box enter Ransomware. Enable Controlled Folder Access if disabled, then go into the Apps Allowed through list, and add all those .exe files I listed there. Also make sure eu4.exe is NOT set to run as the WIndows Admin user.
