Hi Shootemout!

Thank you for reporting this issue to us and uploading a video so I could take a look at it.
The reason why the war suddenly ended was due to you didn't have any demands.
If you take a look at 1:11 you can see that you don't have any demands and thus the AI could peace out, since you didn't demand anything.

When someones declares war against you (a defensive war) a tooltip should have appeared that says;
"Missing War Demands"
You have one year to set the demands you want and you can do this in two ways.
Either selecting the tooltip or Selecting the war icon, go to the negotiate tab and then selecting "Set demands".

I hope this clears out, if not feel free to ask me anything and I will try to explain it better!
Regards,
Leo

Aha! That is really interesting, you found out another bug actually!

In the 2:13, those aren't your demands, those are the Enemy empires demands (as you offering to "Liberate" your planet Al-Jissa)
Can you upload your savefile to us, and we will take a closer look at why the Enemy empire doesn't "accept" your "defeat".
Thanks!

Hmm, that sounds also really odd. I will take a closer look at it in your save if i can manage to recreate it.
Thank you so much for attaching it so we can "QA" around in it! :)

Leo
