Hi,

I played this game alot and found some Bugs I want to describe, although they could be known already.

1. The game crashed during renaming the spacefleet.

2. In some cases during a fleet to fleet attack my own fleet stopped to attack and stuck on a spot. This happens mostly when I attacked first a spacebuilding and the enemie fleet tries to interrupt me. My fleet did nothing and I had to withdraw.

3. After spawning the Crysis like the Forbidden and all the others. The A.I. didt not interact to help fighting the Crysis. They did not even tried to defent themself. In all, the A.I is really weak. They dont interact in any strategic way.

4. In Multiplayer, after a Player leaves the game and die A.I. takes over, the space-, planetary-, overalldevelopment stops. Hes doing nothing.

5. When you are sharing ressources for your sectores and you give them more as they can hold because of the limitation of the capacity, you can still put some more minerals into it and they are lost. You should stop that by saying, the sector cant take any more, to avoid the loss of ressources.

6. Giving ressources to any other race over the diplomacy trade is in some way buged. We testet it in a multiplayer session and although he had free room for 20k minerals I could not gave him more than 6-8k. Every amount over 10k did not poped off his screen to accept the trade. I could still gave him 5k although he had no free room. A small hint to say, your tradingpartner cant take that amount would be helpfull.

7. The overall mid-, endgame crysis are buged. You cant finish the Elderquest, or destroy infected planets during the Prethoryn Swarm. In some cases the Queen didnt spawned during 300 years.

8. The automatic sector management needs some balancing. I had planets they focused still food although I put the focus on industry and the planet had already more as 10 food.

9. In the empire settings, the settings for the planetary developement are overlapping and cant be really good read.

There are alot of more bugs but they are not that bad and I guess they will be fixed.

Overall it is a quiet good game, but still needs alot of balancing like the range for Bombers and fighters, range for rails, lasers, missiles.

I guess, all the other stuff, like the lack of shipmodels, racemodles etc will fixed through the community like always. Im looking really forward to the Star Trek mod.

So far, thats all, thanks for this great game.

P.S: The germany translation is really weak :)

I just logged in to post the same as your second point so i just add here :

I took 5 screen shot each 15 days and you can clearly see that the entire army (3.5 k attack) is stopping and my cruiser is throwing missiles around himself and never stops. When he warps away the missiles follow him :'( .
Moreover I "can emergency warp" away but i already did it two times and I lost half the health of my army and I've just declared war ...

I won't insert the 4 others cause it takes a lot of space but i you want i have them.

Since there has been no support for this game yet and my game is in IronMode I can't leave you my Saved game :'( ... If you can reach my saves I'll be pleased to help you :)
I can't play until this is fixed because I 've taken a hard war addicted nation and I don't want to restart a pacifist one ...

Hopefully you'll hear us two , Have a nice day ! :)

Ps: In the french translation there are loads of letters that don't appear well ( à , l' , é , ê , ) and pronouns are often incorrect (but that doesn't hurt my feelings too much, I 've just changed my game to english even if i don't understand clearly everything (btw: sorry if i made mistakes in the text above)).

So I guess I'll add my own bugs here rather than start my own little post. This is all I can remember off the top of my head, but is no means final or all I found. Got 70+ hours in the game now, and it is hard to remember every little thing.

1) Synth pops created on planets that are controlled (enslaved) by you, act as if they are also conquered by you (instead of acting like the builder of them is trying to replace the population on the planet.)

2) If playing a race that is xenophobic, and you alter your original species, they get the "Alien Overlord" modifier... and the "Xenophobic" modifier when interacting with pre-altered species.

3) Can't kill the Scourge crisis. Planets spawn transports indefinitely, and AI does not react as OP pointed out. Scourge was able to eat 1/4th of the galaxy before me and a friend could respond.

4) events don't trigger or break very easily.
Examples: When the asteroid is heading to a planet, I asked a friend to destroy it (I didn't want the planet to get destroyed, and my fleets were occupied in a war. His ships were closer.) and the Situation Log never updated the asteroid destruction.
The Precursors event chain (to find the home world) never fires after completing the Easter-egg hunt.
The Scourge wounded queen - If an AI takes it, the queen just sits where it spawned at and usually gets destroyed fairly quickly.

5) My lizards look like trump sometimes.

6) Planets don't properly display ownership at times, and changes rapidly (sometimes to other powers, sometimes to primitives.)

7) Constantly finding crystalline entities under the control of empires. When absorbing a vassal with one of them, the crystalline entities come under your control, but they do not move and ignore your commands (but you can select them and they will participate in battles along side other ships when engaged.)

8) Things like space yards, troop transports, mining stations, research stations... ect. don't update their weaponry/engines to reflect additional changes. If they're going to be defenseless, why bother giving them even minor weapons?

9) When doing research projects and your science officer dies the ship remains stuck there, unable to do anything. You have the option to replace the science leader (which most of the time, you don't bother looking at what was going on, so you recruit a new one and simply replace him.) which renders the science ship useless as it cannot fulfill the requirements and remains frozen (but since you replaced him, you cannot change him again.) so you have to drag another science ship there to complete the quest.

10) When AIs surrender to an alliance, they offer the planets in the war-goal to the person who declared, not to the person the war-goal was suppose to give it to. (Not really a problem to hand out planets.

11) In multiplayer: Periodic freeze ups when nothing (observable) is going down. We've had 10+ players in game, and it seems to be stable most of the time, just weird freeze ups.

12) Sometimes when doing research events which triggers another research event at the same planet, the ship sits there (still scanning the site) making it look like it is trying to solve the thing, but in reality isn't doing anything. usually clicking away and re-clicking the event continues the quest.

13) Rarely, when you click the galaxy map, a blank, black map pops up and you have to click back into the world, and back out to see the map again.

14) When fallen empires make demands of you, three requests pop up. This ends up in two situations: a) You concede to their demands three times. Usually this results in 3 humiliations. b) You say no three times, which results in permanent -200 diplo (It says it is suppose to gain back, but 100+ years later, and I'd still be -600 total with that fallen empire, resulting in periodic wars.)

15) Unsure if this is a bug, but since there seems to be range limits to Wormholes (and there's a whole... Missing in action thing.) As Hyperlane, I can explore the whole galaxy, there is no such thing as too far!

16) When building defence stations in one system, if you back out to the galaxy map and look at another system, it overlays the Defence stations in that system as well.

Observational bug?:

AIs don't really go out of the way to engage in diplomacy with you (Or anyone else.) they just kind of... exist independently, reactively responding to events, instead of taking initiative. The only times I see AI go into alliances for example is when I eat a bunch of different systems. Why can't they communicate, adapt and respond? Decide to team up on other AI empires and go out of their way to be more proactive.

Request: Please increase the length of time for some agreements. (Every 30 years isn't that long in multiplayer games and renewing research agreements gets kind of annoying.)

I will add one more bug or malfunction related to AI.

I'm playing on hard difficulty, when I attack someone tagged as "Superior" in every aspect the war is reduced to get 3-4 fleets made up of corvettes with the min strenght needed to take out their space stations. This AI enemy uses wormhole FTL system, the only thing I have to do is to lure his fleet to one of their smaller systems and send every other fleet to their capital and surrounding systems, this AI will get stuck between the decision of attacking my bait fleet or return to any other system under attack (you can see the fleet loading the wormhole to different systems and cancelling) ending in a really easy conquest by occupying every plannet without a single fight.

Sorry if someone else did already post something related to this.

Another "Bug" ?

In my actual game I got a enormos malus in the sector system. I invaded a planet and took him into my empire. I added him to my homesector and the magic started.

The 40% riot malus on this planet spread over the entire sector and I got an huge loss in ressources. After I removed the planet from the sector everything was fine again.
I guess it is not planned that the riot takes over on homerace planets.

Please post individual threads for each suspected bug in the Bug Reports forum, if not already mentioned there. Thanks.

Your last post is not a bug, please post in the main forum here.
