Win2K Pro, patch 1.02 Blink player does not end using escape.

Iraq still has "none" for government. cf other UK pupets like Bhutan which have a government with ministers and can take diplomatic actions.

Even if this is a bug and gets fixed I would suggest just not running the video: rename or delete the "avi" folder in the HoI folder. Bink video intro is notorious source of crashes in EU/EU2.

With HOI bink works fine in Windows XP.

Have you tried newest video drivers from nvidia.com or ati.com that usually solves all these types of problems.
