Hi -- I've got 2 computers at home, on a home-lan; they both
network fine, but when I try to do multiplayer, I can't "see" the hosting
game from the other. Iv'e tried swapping which one hosts, but neither
time can the other see to connect..any ideas??

give us some more data on your computer specs and how your LAN is set up and we might be able to help you

Well, on LAN, if the host's version doesn't match yours, you don't even see the game. Check the versions on both, betas too.

A bit more info, please :)

Which version of CK? Does both computers have same version? What sort of router do you have for the LAN? Does either or both computer have software firewalls (like Norton or Windows XP firewall) and it hasn't been told to allow CK traffic?

Using XP Sp2 firewall on both computers, its been setup to allow traffic from CK.
I've tried both the lastest beta patch and the latest offical patch on both machines. I'm using a Netgear EN 104 Hub. None of the obvious solutions seem to work.

I'll ask the stupid question before I'll download the manual and try to understand yet another router :) So, here I go:
You are having one computer as the host and the other one joining, right?
