1.04 Update problem

Hey, I just got HOI. Whenever I try to update, the updater says "The update patch could not be done, because the game could not be found." And gives me no option to change were my game is, I have it currently in C:\Program Files\Hearts of Iron

Well, I read through the forum. And found a thread about this problem and how to fix it. The only problem is, what if I cannot find the "registry" thing, I went to local machine software, and it wasnt there? This is to complicated for a commercial game!

First make sure you have the correct version of the patch for your publisher. That causes a great many of these problems.

If you are sure then you can use regedit to alter your registry.

Or reinstall and use the default directory.
