Playing as Bohemia in 1066 scenario. Game always crashes to desktop a couple of months after I give my successor parental upbringing.

If a game CTD's everytime at about the same time, it is most likely that a character in your game doesn't have a correct dynastie ID.
Didn't do any of these. Game worked fine after I decided not to go with parental upbringing, but I still think I should have reported it.
