1.07 NA Download problems

I have a problem with downloading 1.07NA patch. It
is very big and became corrupted when downloading. I had the same problem with 1.06NA, had to download it 5 times before it worked (very annoying). Usually, corruption happened in the music files, lake early.mp3. Could I download British version of 1.07 (I am in Australia) and would it work? British version size 3 times less then NA, so it will be easier do download without corruption.
Please, advise.

Unfortunately, no. You will need the SF NA version of the patch.

Are you using a 3rd party download utility by any chance? (e.g. RealDownload) Also, try disabling any anti-virus or firewall software you might have running before beginning the download in case that's interfering.

I've made a request that future SF patches be made smaller and that the extra music files be postesd seperately (that's the reason for the larger d/l size).

Could I then update my files from the 1.07 latest beta patches ? My current version is 1.06. Will it work if I just put executable file and other changes from the 1.07 beta over the existing files

Err...I"m not certain. I *think* that the 1.07 public release is roughly the March 25 beta patch so you might be able to get roughly the right version by applying all the patches up to that point...but there may be minor corrections/adjustments to those in the final release. It also might not allow you to play MP though.

Sadly, your best bet is to keep trying the d/l until you can get it to come across un-corrupted.
