What's everyone else's performance like?

Playing multiplayer with a friend of mine who has a fairly underpowered laptop and he says that the performance has gone up by quite a bit. For me, it seems to be about the same early game.

How about everyone else? Particularly interested in low spec systems around mid to late game. How does it compare to 1.31.5?

It's really good, my PC isn't exactly a beast and there's been a noticeable improvement when on speed 4 or 5. Before 1.32 I couldn't really play on speed 5 without stutters, now it's smooth sailing.

It seems a bit better. I have an average laptop and like to play on Speed 3 or 4 most of the time (unless something incredibly micro-intensive is happening). My issues usually come at the late game.

My game does seem to stutter at the turn of the month, however, the pause is not as noticable. I hope its real and I'm not wishcasting.

So far, the only difference I've noticed is that it auto saves much faster. I'm only in 1468 with my Songhay campaign, so a long time to go still!
I'm playing on speed 3 BTW.

I think the slight stutter on month tick will always be there, especially in ironman. The game autosaves on each month tick unless you change it and it also does all the changes on the month tick. Although it is kinda annoying.

According to our internal metrics is better than 1.31, but not as good as 1.30.

We have some crazy ideas we eventually want to try for 1.33, but those are rather risky,

If you manage to get it better than 1.30,, maybe you could add some new provinces then? At least wasteland in the Andes?
Either way, I wish you luck and hope it succeeds.

Honestly, I did not notice a *huge* drop in performance from 1.30 to 1.31
It existed, but it was not very noticeable for me on my mediocre laptop in the vanilla (including DLC) game.
Performance changes were much more noticeable in large mods like Voltaire's Nightmare and Anbennar, so I imagine this trend will continue in 1.32.
Just something for consideration. These changes are designed for the base game, but they will also impact mod performance.

Hey @Johan you guys did good with music. Missions are also fun. As for issues, idk if this is an issue or work as intended but i've noticed in my play as Ethiopia that AI can claim provinces that don't border. It's actualy fun. Didn't had any troubles with Origins. Also i like to watch African Coptic missionary when converting. Really nice details.

Bought a new pc today with a AMD Athlon 3000g processor and the game runs so slow it bothers me. I read that this processor would be fast enough for gaming but I am no expert. Did I bought the wrong pc?

Gotta risk it for the biscuit!

I noticed a HUGE jump... while the game is paused. Runs smooth as butter. Unpause, and... well, its certainly better than it was in 1.31. I don't have the greatest PC in the world (it's a 10 year old build with a few upgrades made along the way), but I can certainly see improvement. We'll see how it runs once I make it to the 1600/1700s.

He had us in the first half no gonna lie...

All jokes aside, glad to see the performance has improved for you!

The Athlon 3000G is not exactly a high end CPU by any stretch of the imagination. But if you couple it with dual channel high speed RAM, it shouldn't be too bad.

Make sure that on your motherboard, 2 slots in the ram are filled. If there is only 1 stick in there, grab another stick of ram that is the exact same model and brand of your current one and stick it in there. You will see significant improvements in performance
