Hey all,

Any word on the status of 1.4.2?

Is there any estimated time for release?

Thanx for the info

THE Crook??? I thought he had left event community for good! Any word on why he has come back (even if only for this)?

He is not coming back (hardly possible since he is still banned), just doing the installer - as he already did for EEP 1.41.

I must have missed something here... why was he banned?

I think on this note, it'd probably be best to ask someone in a pm or some sort of non-board communication like ICQ.

Listen to Garbon or you will get in trouble.:)

*BACK ON TOPIC*

So if the installer is done on Monday, we can expect to have a downloadable version by tuesday (or so Atreides hopes)...

So is 1.4.2 for 1.07 plain or beta?
It is mainly for 1.07, fx the revolt risk levels are made for that version. Some adaptions have been done for the beta versions, such as adding new entries for texts that were previously missing. The new removecot command, that gives a possibility to move around the CoT:s, is used if you mark a special 1.07beta option in the options menu.

*Twiddles thumbs*

Stupid timezones - its almost Tuesday afternoon here already...

OK time to ask some questions :

1. Will there be a 1.4.1 to 1.4.2 upgrade or will I have to download the whole thing (I should add I'm on a 56k dialup split 3 ways via a LAN so DLing can be painful) ?

2. I'm assuming existing 1.4.1 saves will NOT be able to be used with 1.4.2 - is this correct?

3. Anyone know of any particularly juicy new event chains that would effect which Country to start 1.4.2 as?

I'd like to say thanks to all the people who work on the EEP project since its changed EU2 (for me at least) from a good game to totally addictive :)

1. Unfortunately no, you will have to download the lot again. There are many small changes and fixes, so we never took the extra work of getting together an upgrade. :(

2. You should be able to use old saves. I hope.

3. Creating Kingdom of Italy! Trying to get all of your Anjou land as Provence! (Maine, Lorraine, Naples and Provence) Revised Central Asian setup! Chines Civil war with four revolters! Improved (worse) French War of Religion!

Sounds real good! I know some French players who will be more than happy to play Anjou! :D

Thanks for the great work :)

From the read-me of 1.4.2:
*Fixed bugs reported in 'EEP 1.4.1 - bugs and fixes thread' and corrected typos;
*Added Issac Brock's 'Dutch Revolts mod' making the Netherlands revolt and form much more consistently:
-Changes the triggers for the Dutch revolts to exclude all Dutch Minors
-Changes the event that forces a country to cede provinces to the new Dutch Republic so
that protestants and reformed are not excluded. However countries forced to cede provinces will get a CB on the Dutch.
-Changes the revolt dates for Luxemburg and Flanders so that they cannot from from the Dutch Revolts
-Changes the Repatriation of the Netherlands so that you only get the good effects if the
Netherlands never forms. If the Nethrlands did form the revolt risk goes away and that's all.
-Adds events for Spain, France and Burgundy so that they lose their shields on the
Northern Netherlands if they cannot hold onto one of the provinces in that region, and
adds events to do the same for the Southern Netherlands;
*New monarch files for Venice and Sardinia (for period after historical existance) and Genoa, Milan (revised);
*Revised leaders for Milan, Venice and Papal States;
*Making it more probable that Algeria will form, by changing events in the area (new ‘barbary.ai’ added as well);
*New events for Ethiopia;
*Revised placement of CoT:s. (CoTs in Central Asia have returned to their ‘classic’ positioning);
*Included option for playing with the 1.07b betas, using the 'removecot' command (see Options Menu above;
*Made 'Submission of Goa' province triggered;
*Made all events for increasing the values of the South American mines province triggered;
*New harsher event sequence for the French War of Religion, revised French Protestants and Ultra Catholics;
*Dutch events in 17th, 18th and 19th century by Arktos and Alkar;
*Spanish colonial events by mfigueras;
*Castilian capital is in Toledo, added an event for the capital move to Madrid;
*Slightly reworked setup in the Balkans area; Croatia and Ragusa no longer exist in the 1419 or 1520 scenarios;
*Revised Hussite wars events, making an intact survival of Bohemia more likely;
*Events Albrecht of Austria’s accession to the Bohemian and Hungarian thrones;
*Hungarian civil war events in the 1440s;
*Mathias Corvinus events;
*Several more new Bohemian 15th century events, revised monarchs and additional leaders;
*Bosnian and Hercegovinan events by Voivode;
*Albanian events by Skanderbeg;
*Sweden cannot get Baltic culture anymore;
*Added Papal States events from Malodini;
*Portugal now have Cape Verde as a colony in 1419, to make the AI colonize it.( Wouldn't do so otherwise since it is outside ToT.);
*New nations of Širvan (U04), Transoxiana (U03), and Mazandaran (AMI) in Central Asia;
*Nogai and Bikaner no longer exist in the 1419 or 1520 scenarios, replaced by Rajputana, new culture Rajput;
*Iraq is now a playable and starting nation in the 1419 scenarios (represents Jalayrids);
*Renovations to all Central Asian states based upon work in Central Asian Empires mod;
*New events for Afghanistan, the Mughals and Delhi (Delhi given a chance to become Mughal Empire);
*Event file for Mali finally added to events list, so now there is a chance of Timbuktu declaring its independence;
*Events re-worked for Sus and Morocco in regards to Sa’di take over events, so that the player and AI will have more difficult time during the civil war;
*Armynames by Duke of Argyll, Mad King James and Twoflower;
*Colonynames by Duke of Argyll, updated versions can be found on
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=95861
*Creation of the Kingdom of Italy is now possible;
*Added new setup for Chinese civil war, with four revolter states;
*Added Anjou sequence by Havard, mainly affects Provence, Lorraine and Naples;
*Added starting merchants in 1419 scenario, gives important trading nations a better start;
*Removed some Portuguese explorers and shortened the lifespan of others since exploring was too fast.

With all the new events for the Netherlands can you still play as county of Holland and become the Netherlands if you manage to keep the Burgundians at bay?
