1.5 patch "corrupted"

When I try to run the patch, I get the following message:

"The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verifiy its integrity, and try again."

I deleted the patch and re-downloaded it, but the same thing happened.

I currently have a 1.04b version of the game, I don't know exactly which, but one of the more recent ones.
 
Completely uninstall the game from your system including any mutliple installs/ patches, or whatever, also delete your temporary Internet files (INTERNET OPTIONS -> GENERAL -> TEMPORARY FILES -> DELETE) then do a fresh install from CD, also then download the patch, then install only the 1.5 patch.
 
I did what you suggested, but unfortunately, I still get the same error.
 
Are you trying to run the patch from the internet or are you downloading it fiorst then running it from the harddrive?
 
I tried both. But in the meantime I was able to install the patch sucessfully. Appearently, uninstalling CK through "add/remove programs" in Windows does not actually remove it. I manually put the whole CK folder in the Recycle Bin and reinstalled it and the patch worked. Thanks for your help.
 
Sorry that is what I meant by completely remove, ie Manual uninstall as per the sticky thread, sorry I should have been more specific.
