Summary
1.9.2.1 : Event bug : "The baby eating bishop", calling for the guards does not actually imprison the bishop and he remains as your bishop afterwards.Description
See : https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...own-cannibal-remain-as-my-archbishop.1593246/ for the discussion on this issue.
Calling for the guards does not actually imprison the bishop, furthermore, the bishop still remains your bishop and the only way to report him to the papacy is to use the generic "excommunicate" interaction which requires 500 piety. This does not make sense, as you should be getting piety for reporting the bishop, rather than the other way round. The reason why it costs 500 piety normally is because it is the generic interaction used for excommunicating a character for your own gain.
Failing to arrest the bishop afterwards will still have them remain at your court, and still be your bishop, which again, does not make sense.
The event option should be rewritten. Calling for the guards should automatically imprison the bishop and remove him as your bishop, as it is absolutely unthinkable that a known cannibal could remain as a bishop. He doesnt even have the ability to escape as he is at your palace during this event and there are plenty of guards that would arrest him before he can flee.
Steps to reproduce
1. Trigger the event using the console.2. Experiment with the option to call for the guards.
