#1 Priority-My version nix the patch

I just got the game, think the concept is great, although I would like to see one where I can control battles on divisional level (big and tough order I know), BUT my game worked fine on both XP home and professional editions UNTIL I downloaded and istalled the 1.05 patch. Holy bear dung! did the problems start!

SO, I got rid of the patch (uninstalled the whole ball of wax (not easy) and reinstalled the game) and guess what!? the game works fine again. So I don't get the little tweaks the "patch" allows, BIG WOOP! I can play the game without the thing crashing every 2 minutes and I don't have to enter "Ignore" on all the error messages.

If you have the patch in this might help, then again I'm just a a dumb old geezer, what do I know?

What are the error messages you are getting?

If you look at the list of changes in the patches you'll see they are FAR more than 'little tweaks' especially if your unpatched game is v1.00. You really need to get it to work with the patch. In addition to the error messages please post the publisher and version you have. Also, the 1.05 patch had some bugs that were fixed in the 1.05b 'tweak pack' (now replaced by 1.05c). Most notably a game freeze on Dec 13, 1941.
