Forgive me if this question has already been asked and answered - I checked in both FAQs and searched this board and found nothing. So...

Is it possible to find out the date on which I vassalized a country? I am playing as Spain (I know, hardly a challenge, but it is my first game) and vassalized Tuscany some time ago. My plan is to DOW France, which will cost me two stability for lacking a CB, then diplomatically annex Tuscany after the war to get back up to 3. Unfortunately I still don't have the option to annex Tuscany (relations are hovering around +195/+200), and time is of the essence since France has just begun a big fortress-expanding project. Does anybody know where I can find out how long I need to wait?

Thank you.

GO to your diplomacy screens. I think you will need to go to the diplomacy screen of the vassal and then hover your mouse over "is a vassal of XXXXX". The date of the vassalization should pop up.

can you jsut hoover the mouse?

Thanks rhony2. I was trying that but it wouldn't give me the date. I think it was more than 10 years, but I couldn't annex them for lack of a common border... Turkey solved that problem for me by declaring war on my ally Austria, allowing me to grab Emilia, adjacent to Venice which I inherited earlier in the game, and annex Tuscany after all. :D Now to put down the Rebel Scum...

Um, sorry I wasn't clearer before, but you need to put your mouse pointer over the little - dove is it? - to the immediate left of the "is a vassal of XXXX" on the diplomacy alliances list of the vassal in question. What should pop out is a message that should say the month and year that vassalization began.
Now, if you go to your own diplomacy - alliances screen, you will see something like "Tuscany is a vassal". If you hover your mouse cursor over the bird then, you will get the month and year vassalization will end - generally sometime in the 1800s. Of course, you can lose your vassalization for failed annexations and other reasons. Actually, once you annex one vassal, your relations with other vassals may drop, so watch those carefully.

OK, now I have it. That is a bit tricky. Thank you again.
