As Prince of Serbia and Bosnia, I am fighting one of my former vassals when suddenly the Prince of Nikomedeia makes peace with him. This puts ME into peace while the Emperor is still fighting.

Saw it happen twice.

I can verify that this continues under 10/23 BP, and also verify that it's a fairly serious problem.

The war: I instigate a war to press my claim to the County of Chalons.

The players:

Me, playing the Duke of Milan, a vassal of the King of Germany.
Provence, also a vassal of the King of Germany; we are also allied.
The King of Germany.

Chalons, who is a vassal of the Duke of Burgundy, who is in turn a vassal of the King of France.
The Duke of Burgundy.
The King of France.
Various other Dukes.

I actually saw this probably half a dozen times, because I kept re-declaring war after I was forced into a truce. It comes in two varieties -- one happened to me, one happened to the AI (I believe they're the same bug.)

- At least three times, Provence made peace with the King of France; for me, this had the effect of ending the war that I had declared. (Note, however, that it did not end the war for the King of Germany, our mutual overlord.) I believe at least one of these times this ended *all* conflict for me; i.e., with all of the vassals of the King of France that had come after me.

- At one point, I received a peace offer for a substantial number of ducats from Flanders. I accept. No problem. However, I then extend an offer of white peace to Poitou. He accepts. This ends the war between Chalons and myself, and Burgundy and myself; the war between France and myself continues. (I believe this is essentially an AI version of what Provence did to me.)

I *think* this may arise when two dukes (or presumably counts) who are vassals of a single lord are also allies with one another. (That was definitely the case between Provence and myself; not sure about Poitou and Burgundy.) Duuk, can you shed any light on that?

In any case, it's clearly broken somehow. Provence shouldn't be allowed to unilaterally end my war of aggression, nor should making peace with the generally uninvolved Poitou affect my war with Chalons and Burgundy.

I don't think it's an alliance thing, since I don't think I was allied to anyone.
