Problems with byzantine emperor's traits
I am playing as the Byzantine emperor. When the pope called for crusade, I got got no problems, just like it's supposed to be. So far everything's all right. But then, after some years, I get a personal call from the pope to go on crusade! Since I would get a loss of piety that I couldn't afford, I said yes, and now the emperor has a crusader trait, but I can't see that it has any effect, even not when I crusade. But the pope shouldn't do this to me, who is orthodox, right?
Later, I get a message from the pope, demanding that I change my religious laws from regal supremacy to church supremacy! First of all, the pope shouldn't do this to me, an orthodox, and second: in the orthodox church, the emperor WAS the equalent to the pope, so this can't be right. I chose to not obey btw, and now the emperor is excommunicated... Not that I have seen any problems yet, but this happened right before I exited the game last night, so I might have missed something because of tiredness...
