Again, thanks to Paradox for the great 1520 (Age of Exploration) scenario. However, there are a few errors from a historical standpoint. I have been doing a bit of research, and will compile them here for those who want to take them into account. I think I marriage of the IGC and this scenario is the best route, but we all have real lives that limit our free time...:(
I will post one for each major country that I know has a bit of a problem, so that those who choose to respond can focus.

Turkey

Problems with Turkey/Middle East.

Algiers in 1519 joined the Turks in exchange for their leader being a Grand Admiral. Algiers state should be part of Turkey. Or possibly a Vassal, Military Alliance, Marriage to simulate long distance control.

Cyclades islands should be Venice.

Cyrenica was annexed in 1521. To save the use of a Tag, should give it to Turkey from the start but looted. Then Siam/Ayutt. can be the same as the IGC... :)

Kaffa in the Crimea should be Turkish. Crimea should have the same settings as in the IGC with Turkey.

Moldavia, Wallachia - should both be Turkish vassals.

The Hedjaz - Sultan was recognized calif, and had nominal control of Mekkah/Hedjaz. Jordan, Arabia, Tabbuk, Mekkah as the Hedjaz. Marriage and military alliance. (Didn't gain fuller control until 1600s).

Iraq - should be removed, provinces given to Persia (did so in 1512, I believe). In 1514, Turkey conquered to Mosul, Tabriz. So give Kirkuk province to Turkey (ignore chunk of Iraq conquered).

Georgia - remove from Persian control, possible state.

Tunisa, Tripoli - need to be seperate states as the game shows. Turkey took Tripoli 1551, Tunis was vassalized after Spainish were thrown out in 1570(?).

Ragusa - as the IGC, I believe.

Aden - did not control Hadramut - was it's own country. No one ever controlled it colonially to my knowledge (maybe Oman much later). Make it independent, with 5100 Extremely aggressive natives (5100 is Aden's city size there).

Problems with England.

Known provinces - Cabot had explored up/down the coast to Bay of Fundy, Mass. Bay.

Ireland - Actually only controlled Meath, Leinster. Nominal control of the rest. For the AI, give them all. For the human, just Meath/Leinster. Then Eire independent or English, but in rebellion. I will probably go independent, but make Eire's province rebel-controlled to show the lack of central government.

Percy as a starting explorer. This should be kept for play balance purposes, although not historical. Else England will have no explorers for 30 years, allowing France (with multiple explorers) to utterly control North America. Another option would be to give no colonists to England/France until 1550s, to simulate both countries internal preoccupations. Don't know how to do that, though.

Spain, Portugal - corrections for them later. I am not sure of Russia, Poland, Austria, Denmark, HRE. If anyone knows of anything that needs to be done to edit those, please let me know.

Austria for some reasons starts with a shitload of generals with at least a 3 for sieges

And more stuff like that. It inderdeed needs work though.

U can find it at the downloads place from this site, it's called Baltic.Exe

thanx bib, i liked the scenario, especially prussia. Regarding the changes, is it possible to just for example copy&paste the hafzide empire from 1492_ICG.inc to 1520.inc(Of course also deleting Tunis&Tripoli... etc.) to get those historical changes?

Spain

Spain needs some historical tweaks as well. Specifically:

Panama - they had colonized Panama (Caribbean and Pacific sides) by 1519, and actually launched some ships to explore the Gulf of Panama (should be known).

Known Provinces: They knew many more American Seas by 1520 then listed. Down the coast of SA to Rio de Plata. All along the northern SA coast. All the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, and up the NA coast past Florida to Coast of Carolina/Bermuda. Ponce de Leon had explored southern Florida in 1513 also.

Aztecs - they start unknown, with Cortez in Cuba. But Cortez had already retreated from Tenochtilan and was in the province to the East preparing to reconquer, which he did in 1521. Should have the Aztecs start known, at war, so the Spanish don't somehow miss attacking them as the AI. If the AI can handle it, leave Cortez in Cuba so he has to be transported there (signifying reinforcements that he gathered before actually conquering them).

North Africa - Spain had multiple cities in Algiers/Morocco/Tunis from 1510 to 1550s/1570s. To simulate that, and to hopefully lead to some Turkish/Spainish wars in NA, which were historical, should give Orania province to Spain. They actually controlled the city of Oran until well into the 1700s historically, as well as some other towns nearby.

Portugal

Portugal needs the most work, unfortunately.

Cape Verdes - no one owns this, but they had a settlement in it since before the game started. Make it a city, about 750 people.

Brazil - the Recife colony was in Diamentina.

India - had trading posts in Colombo, Cochin, Trivandrum, Mangalor.

Indonesia - Malacca was a city/colony (actually they had conquered the city there), not a TP. Give it 750 people, and a small army to protect it. Ajeh had a TP. Ceram (the Amboina Isles, nearby) had a TP.

Africa - Mombasa was a colony, not a TP. Ships landed there to/from India/Portugal.

Madagascar - knew the seas around it, but no TP/known areas there.

Middle East - Controlled Bahrain (1515-1622). Should have a TP there. Actually controlled Muscat in Oman until the Ottomans retook it in 1551. Since that is Oman's capital, may want to give them Alkharam instead. Or not. Historically, they took Hormuz (until 1622) and Muscate to try to control the spice trade through there.

Knew of Ethiopia (if using IGC settings), sent a diplomat in 1520. And China (Guang Dong), since they "discovered" them in 1517. And Hedjaz, since they had sent a land expedition to Mekkah from Syria years earlier. Should know of Aden, since they unsuccessfully assaulted it in 1513.

Known sea areas - Vastly underlisted. Know the sea path to China/Guang Dong from Malacca. Knew the Red sea and the Gulf of Suez (they do in 1492 scenario, but not 1520. Strong oversight). The Real's had explored the Newfoundland area of NA in the early 1500s. They had fishermen there for a long time, and many of the names there (like Labrador) come from Portuguese words. Attempted to found a colony on Newfoundland in the 1520s. 1502 maps show it falling in Portuguese control for the Treaty of Tordasilla. Should know from Greenland down to just Bay of Fundy, and the Wabana or Placentia province.
Knew most of the South Atlantic, due to use of the wind patterns to sail to India. Discovered St. Helena in 1502, Ascenion 1501.
Indian Ocean - Knew seas around Mahe and the Bourbon islands (although never colonized them, so not the islands themselves). Seas around Madagascar, Soctra Island.

That's their historical knowledge, to the best of my research.
