What are two good countries that work together in a multiplayer game? I am going to start one with my friend and want 2 that arent too hard and work together. I was thinking maybe Italy and Spain but Italy is much stronger.

Japan & Russia

had fun with both, really used germany to build up italy with infantry tech.

Japan really became the Naval branch of russia, that was a fun game. Sadly for me it ended with a CTD and not being able to get back on. I played as Japan, and really had some sweet advances in Naval and Air tech.

USSR and France work well against Germany as long as Germany doesn't have human allies.
