Hi all,

I am beginning to play HOI, and I have two questions or better said doubts...

I believe that the reinforcements need much less allocation of IC than the production of units, therefore in order to count with upgraded units in 1941, it is better to produce them in 1936 and latter upgrade them when I have the technology developed in 1941. Is this right? In 1941 I will upgrade the units produced with little amount of IC (I believe but I am not sure)

Aditionally, in order to benefit from economic gearing in the production of units, may I put 50 in a serie and when I develop the tech of reducing the time production of units, benefit not only of the gearing but also of tech developed reducing in two different ways the time of development?

Thanks for your answer

I'm not an expert by any means, but I'll try to answer your first question. I think a lot of players wait until they have researched upgraded infantry to begin building them. Reasons being: You can build other things, and if you build them in 1936 they will cost you supply for years.

I think, depending on which version you have, there is some benefit to upgrading 2 levels at once, you get a discount on the second upgrade. Really depends on what country you're playing and when you're going to war. If you're the U.S., you can wait a while. Germany wants to be ready by 39, etc.

I'm not sure about the second question. I know you can put long runs in, I just don't know if they are affected by changing technology or gearing bonuses.

This probably isn't the right forum for this question anyway, try the general forum. These things also might be in the FAQs there.

Also, try HOI2 Wiki

There's tons of good info there.
