Well, this is my second project and it will be much more successful that the first one, I'm sure...
NOTE: I tried to be as politcorrect as it was possible (it was not easy, though). I also tried to be maximally realistic and serious, but who knows how it will be actually?

And I also want to say why I decided to make this campaign. I know that this forum is not correct place for what I'm going to tell - I ever can be banned from here forever, but I hope for mercy and understanding. So, by making this mod I wanted to show very serious modern problem - the Cold War is not over. Yes, USSR dissolved and USA won first round, and now they are trying to end with Russia. Actually, in 90's Russia was too weak after the shock, and the West did nothing - it hoped Russia would dissolve in dozens small principalities without any help. But for last several years situation changes to better and the West began to worry about resurrection of
Great Russia. And since that Western powers use old and indeed the deadliest way - they accuse Russia and Russian government in OWN [Western] sins. Of course, not only in it, but anyway, when I specially visit webpage of any major Western media company or newspaper and read about moving to faschism, or about imperialistic ambitions of Moscow, or about Russia as The Core of The Global Evil, I get terrified. If somebody hear me, I tell you: it's the purest LIE. The real situation is very different from the Western version. Yes, we are trying to re-establish our power, but our country wants to live in harmonical and multi-polar world. This mod is the
result of analysis of further progress of the world in case of remaining existing geopolitical balance - and it is the warning too. I ask moderators again - do not ban me, please... I'm sorry, I will not speak on such themes in future.
The story begins at 01.01.2012. At this moment, situation in the world is rather complicated. European Union (tag - U12) transformed in loose federation of states, while Russia finally united with Byelorussia and Kazakhstan. Abkhazia and South Ossetia also joined Russia when Russian-Georgian relations decreased to absolute zero and dramatical crisis occured. In the result of civil conflict in Ukraine, its Eastern (pro-Russian) part seceded and was incorporated by Moscow, while remaining territories keep close contacts with the West. Role of the USA is weakened by inner and outer factors. When Tehran was staying very close from creation of A-bomb (or at least the West thought so), USA and Israel declared war on Iran (actual theme!?). But aerial strikes couldn't bring any serious harm to Iranian infrastructure, while a possibility of ground operation against the country, which army is 8th largest in the world, was too risky for USA. In answer Iran provoked shiites' and kurds' rebellions in Iraq, legalized (temporarily!) some
famous terroristic organizations at its territory and gave carte-blanche (and armed support) to Palestinian radicals to destroying the state of Israel. Meantime American society finally disappointed with their "imperialistic" government and after long months of political batallies and financial crisis territorial unity of the country appeared under the question.
...Israel got less luck, though...
So, when American influence temporarily decreased, terroristic organizations supported by Iran and remained without enemy in the region, organized coups in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain (especially notable on the HoI2 map
). Of course, Iran didn't asked them to do this, but new era and new possibilities resurrected the idea of Islamic Caliphate (tag - U14). Seizing power in Arabia, fundamentalists are ready to move further and unite firstly all Arabian countries, then all Islamic ones, and after that - the entire world. Of course, in the light of these events nobody noticed neither regional integration of African countries (Making every modern African country, its techteams, leaders and other attributes would be TOO complicated), nor creation of Pacific Union where Australia and New Zealand played main roles.
But there' s one little detail: it is not ready yet. I still work on leaders, ministers and techteams - it's not so easy to find suitable ones. I think 300-350 events would be nice, but later I can add more. There are, for example: Olympic Games of 2012/2016/etc, several variants of WWIII and WWIV, critical changes of geopolitical poles, plenty of cataclysms (every year it's more and more of them - so I decided to make accent at this), Nuclear Winter and, of course, The Apocalypsis (also several variants).
Oh, yes, I forgot to say that it ends in 2025 or 2030.
I hope I'll finish before the release of Doomsday. From the other view, though, on the Doomsday platform it must have more possibilities... This project must be grinded up to shine. ;-)
