Pledging allegiance to current liege

It's possible this has been reported before, I didn't find it on the list though.. could be under a weird title though.

It seems to be possible to Pledge Allegiance to your current liege (if your loyalty is low enough). You can select it and go to the confirm screen, though I didn't try if it accepts the OK. The screen also informs that doing this will give LiegeX a claim..

Wouldn't be so bad if you could do this though, just with a different result (BB reduction, loyalty increase or whatever).

NOTE :
=====
In this game I also experienced the much reported (though never experienced by me previously) slowdown effect (around 1100 A.D.) that might perhaps be related.

As you betas have much to do I feel oblieged to inform you that I was running a slightly modified game, so you can tag this as a low priority issue if you want to.. though I suspect the mods had nothing to do with this.

Mods :

- Changed RP demesne from 0.8 to 1.2 (so that it works) in provinceimprovements.txt
- Added about 200 names to character_names.csv file.
- Removed the 'not age 20' thing for all the character_development_events.txt
- Using ace2's (I think) trait_names file..

So, I give you permission to ignore me or ice this report :)

Swearing allegiance to my own liege.

Yesterday I was playing as one of the French Dukes when the King of France asked me to mobilise my troops.

I declined and when I went to look at the diplomatic options at the King of France's court to see who he was at war with one of the options was 'swear allegiance' even though I was already his vassal.

The description for the result of this action went something like follows:

Swear allegiance the the King of France, you will become his vassal... Your previous liege, the King of France, will gain claims on all your titles...

Funny I stumbled on this once as a duke in france. My loyalty to the king was 0.00 at the time. I did have the option to offer him my allegiance, I think this is there because at that point you can swear allegince to another king and the AI dosent recognize that the King of France is your current leige. Its just looking at your loyalty and giving you the option to pledge alligence regardless.

Simple fix would be to have an option to break allegiance.

Yes that would be simpler, but currently if your at 0.00 loyalty you cant break from your leige without declaring war on him. You should be able to break from him, with the understanding that in doing so he gets a claim on your titles and can DOW you.

Anyway, its an issue and if it does get bug status im hoping for the break alligence option.

Merged.

well, the post says FEEDBACK, so here is some.

In my game as FlandersI have 0,0 loyalty to my liege (the French King). I CAN'T break my vassalage, but I CAN swear allegiance to him (although I will loose 25 prestige (???))
