Ruler Death Bug???

Not completely sure on this, but...

My ruler is 90 now... I CTD about every year of game time and then will load back up... I first thought it was simply not having heirs and a crash on the game over, but I double checked and he does have heirs...

Here's the situation... My direct heir died about 25 years ago, and his only son is now the Count of Naples under The Byzantium, while I am the ruler of Campannia (sp?) and now the Kingdom of Naples... I don't know if that disjointed family claims would cause a problem on the inheritance event though...

System Info:

Dell 8200
Windows XP
DirectX 9

Pentium 4 : 1.8 Ghz
768 MB : Seagate RDRAM
60 MB GeForce2 Video Card

Just to add... This is not a bug fix request, just a heads up. As I can't really pinpoint the problem, just that its repeatable...

mail the save compressed to me kurtbrian at tiscali.dk with a liink to this thread. :)

Did you got the save kurtbrian ?

Are you sure your grandson was in your line of succession ?

Is it happening in 1.02 ?

I also have a similar problem I do believe.

I am the Prince of Imeretia and I have a grandson set to be the heir but whenever I finally die the game just crashes, even though it pops up that he inherited Imeretia. (and he shows up perfectly in the succession screen)

I have a save where I'm close to dieing and I loaded it up as my liege, the King of Georgia and the inheritence went just fine.

Using 1.02 also.
