Dear Paradox,

To begin, I historically love your games. I have supported since EUIII from a cd box from a closed box chain pre 2007, on a laptop that couldn’t shade properly. I enjoyed the machinations and decision to be the ruler I saw fit. I have been very patient in my understanding for ck3 on console as it was a new frontier (ignoring stellaris, I will even grant that).

But patience can run its course. There has been no road map I can find for console regarding chapter 2 which should be fairly quick now. There has been no updates on broken save status of my peers or fixes for clipping graphics. Or any response at all. The lack of response is distasteful. You do not treat us as people, let alone respected customers.

We paid for this product, support this product and want to be treated with the same reverence and appreciation you (Paradox) shower upon our pc brethren/sisters. What a joy it would be to have road maps and updates to devour and follow up on so as to dream of our future realm’s choices. But alas, we look forward to nothing but neglect, like a bastard you sired , we see the court but are denied it. We didn’t choose you to release this platform, you chose to release it to us. I ask kindly of you to make good on your promise to our side of the community. We give our time to enjoy your product, but I think if the studio /publisher refuses to fix a substandard and broken product, we should all be entitled to refunds in our form of a dissolution faction. We do not want this faction, but like subjects to an arbitrary, gluttonous and arrogant liege, we shall not stand the yoke of tyranny anymore.

Do you know if anyone has complained to Sony/microsoft? A key strategy in any pending conflict (unwanted or other) is seeking alliances (lol deploying ck3 strategy against paradox is a bit ironic). A game that is unplayable I think violates their platform’s t’s amd c’s. May be the next approach? Need to find a way to rally the community.

It's hard to rally a dead community. Ck3 on console is a boneyard.

The strategy should be to not buy any more Paradox products, games or dlc, until they improve quality control. Don’t give them any more money until they show they can do some product testing and bug fixing. Don’t be distracted tempted by shiny new dlc.

Wouldn’t say it’s a boneyard, necessarily, but people are obviously still talking about the console version.

Is the console community as big as pc? Of course not, but that doesn’t mean we deserve to be ignored by pdx.

The same 5 people is pretty much all there is still here lol. I mean yeah getting ignored sucks but they can't do anything besides wait like us. The company porting ck3 is the problem. Plain and simple they kinda suck.

Fair, lmao. Though, the community would be bigger if the game was playable.

I get that Lab42 is the issue, trust me, but pdx not communicating has no excuse at all.

Thank you for reaching out, and I understand where you're coming from, but Crusader Kings III as a game is wholly owned and operated by Paradox, not Lab42. If you have feedback or comments or concerns, we can't help you - I wish we could. I'm sure you're aware that you're not the only person contacting us about CK3, and I have to say the same thing to everybody - if you want to get the message to somebody that can do anything about your problem, that needs to be Paradox. It is not Lab42. I understand this may be frustrating but there's really nothing we can do. I'm sorry.

Feels like we don't get any answers because pdx genuinely has no clue what Lab42 is doing to fix the game. Lab42 probably doesn't even know what they're doing. Personally, I imagine they're not doing a single damn thing about it - probably tell pdx some generic bs like "we're ironing out the bugs" lmao

I mean, it has been over 3 months without a single shred of any concrete update. Kind of hard for pdx to update us if Lab42 won't update pdx.

CK3 is Paradox’s game they originally developed it and they chose Lab 42 to port it to console. Paradox needs exercise some oversight over Lab 42 and telling them to get their act together and maybe provide resources to help Lab 42 since they developed the game for PC before it was ported.

I reached out to tech support, essentially they said it is still supported, but have no update on development due to the teams being separate. To be honest it is a non answer. If it’s like most big companies they will have an intranet chat and it would be a quick , hey what’s going on. Similar radio silence.

Thank you all for taking the time. I will reach out to playstation for a refund and will share the results so all of us wronged players can potentially find a peaceful burial. The King has left the court to the Lab42 council, and they have barred the gates.

Thank you Paradox for abandoning your customers. Just really shows another formerly customer focused companies turned to a profit driven, faceless corporation.

Check out the console community on reddit - you're far more likely to get a reply from someone (i.e. Trinexx) there. We got a vague update yesterday that a "General Announcement" might happen in 3-5 weeks.

Better generally announce that Lab42 officially has nothing to do with ck3 imo, but probably just gonna announce Ch. 2 (without bug fixes, of course). We'll see. Hopefully, it's good.
