I just did a crusade for England against the Norse pagans as Italy. Two people in my court went to England, one to become king of England and the other to become duke of Wessex. Neither of their wives went with them; both remained in my court in Italy. I'm not entirely sure whether a wife has to be in the court of her husband to have children in this game, but neither of these people ever ended up having children (despite the king having a lustful wife), and as a result, England went right back to pagan rule as soon as the king died, making the entire crusade pointless. There was some other screwy crap that happened too; pagan England was in a civil war at the time of the crusade, with several pagan lords in rebellion, so their counties didn't get expropriated after the crusade won, and one of the pagan jarls remained heir (despite there being a Christian duke and various Christian counts) after the new Catholic king was installed. Hence why I was so desperate to see the king have children, and so chagrined that the king's wife stubbornly stayed in Italy instead of going with him. I even tried loading up as the king of England briefly to invite his wife to England, and she refused to come, choosing to stay in Italy instead. On the list of reasons for refusal was "no reason to leave". Apparently being married is no reason to be in the husband's court. Oh, ok. So no kids were had, the Christian king died, and England reverted to pagan rule just a few years after the crusade.

Side note, I really hope someone is still working on fixing bugs in this game and that there's even a point to posting in the bug report section here anymore. It seems like CK2 has gotten no attention at all since CK3 was announced, but the game still has a lot of bugs that really need fixing. Nothing new needs to be added to it, we all know the game is done now; just please fix the problems with what's already there.
