Getting people you just defeated in your court

After I conquer a Muslim sheikdom, often I will get the former ruler and his family as new members of my court. Is this WAD? It would be odd of the defeated sheiks decided to hang around the court of their (Christian!) conqueror. What do they do there, whine all day about getting their title back?

Of course, generally I feel that people from different religions should not be joining each others' courts (except Catholic and Orthodox).

I feel it represents the former owner's family and nobles, whom you were nice enough not to execute on the spot, and who are grateful enough to serve you, in the hope you might give them some title back.

Of course, you can just ignore them and pretend you did execute them on the spot :)

Yah, but the former ruler himself is there too, serving you like nothing happened.

Actually it wasn't that unknown for a former ruler to remain inpower after conquest, but this time as a vassal. I don't see a problem with the feature itself, although the amount of non-state-religion courtiers might be a tad too large.

Missing sons when conquering their land

I was playing as King of Sweden 1066 campaign. I invaded more land and granted new land to my sons. After few years one by one they started to rebellion. Of course I crushed their forces and taked it back their land.

I thought I can be merciful and give lands back to my sons, but they were not in my court anymore and their shields were changed to pink! :D

This must be a bug! Sons and other relatives should get back to your court or you should be at least reported that they left your court forever.

This is a bit annoying since in my current game as Naples, most of my court consists of Muslim children, who are absolutely useless to me. Non-state religion courtiers should definitely be restricted heavily.

I do not know -maybe I'm the only one- but I like the feature. I defeated the Sheik of Tangiers, and then I used him as his family in the realm. They were so helpful in the reconquista, that I granted him and his sons lands in southern Spain. Now, one of his descendants is the Duke of Almeria ;)

And I think it was not unheard of -at least in the Spanish reconquista- got vassals and the like of different religion. Maybe they are too common, but the feature as such, I really like.
