I'de imagine depends on whether the intention is for a medium castle to cost **%, or **+##+&& % [where **, ## and && are the costs of the previous castles] - if its the first then its probably a bug, if its the second then it looks inelegant, but I can live with it.

WAD but in possible need of adjustment. Forumla for maintenance is:

cost = base*HF*SC*MC*LC*HC

where:
HF = hill fort
SC = small castle
MC = medium castle
...etc.

the same is true for religious structures which also stack

Edit: note, that's for percenetage_score costing models. It *is* additive if the periodic_score is used as a cost (religious structures, for instance, have a component of each)

Because right now it's

cost = base + HF + SC + MC...

not

cost = base * HF * SC * MC...

unless thats what you meant....then nevermind :rolleyes:

Cumulative economic effects of fortifications

I was just playing and I noticed an effect and I was wondering if it was WAD or an oversight...

Are castle improvements supposed to have a cumulative effect on the economy of a stat or is the last improvement supposed to be the only effect.

What I mean is this... if you have a Medium Castle, is the economic effect supposed to be -10%(-2 for hill fort + -3 for small + -5 for medium) or is it supposed to be a flat -5%?

Just an inquiry, nothing more.
