double claims to titles and dead nobles still in power.... 1.01

Have a save game where my wife (a duchess) added a count to her domain but her vassel is dead and has been dead for about 5 years, yet he's still in power??

Also what are the purple shields to represetn with people.

Other bug: Will see people with TWO claims on the SAME place and title. Why is this?


Also are claims supposed to multiply so danged rapidly- having 30+ claims at a time is a little much. Maybe they should expire?

First, dead folk are bad, and bug. Second, multiple claims of the same place is also a bug. These sound like 1.00 things - have you applied the 1.01 patch? [I know, your thread title, says you have, but these are all 1.00 problems in my experience...]

The purple sheilds represent displaced people - they will find a home, and generally, to a close relative, eventually...

In 1.01 I've had my dead marshal still leading some of my regiments 15 years after his death. His portrait was grayed out, but displayed as leader of my regiment.

I have the same experience with 1.01 there are several places where there are double claims.

Also a claim where my king has a claim to county he owns himself... really strange.

Yes I too have my King claiming lands that are his own sometimes as well as what I opened the thread with.

And Yes, I am certain it is 1.01. I got the patch, applied it, it shows onthe main screen, and in fact most of the other 1.01 changes are readily apperent in my game.

Hope this bug can be fixed, I'm worried about the game dying because of that dead count vassel to my wife... grr... invested some serious hours into a totally fun game! I want to see hwo the story of my dynasty unfolds!

I can confirm people having multiple claims to the same title in 1.01. Including my own King.

Just confirming that I'm having the same problems. I've had new mobilized armies led by dead generals, and my Duke of Belgrade has a kept claim on a county granted to a vassal. I'm playing 1.01...

Well, the multiple claims on the sme title is still happening. I had 4 or 5 claims on the title King of Denmark in one of my previous games.

I play with 1.03b ( with a clean install), and now I have again dead courtiers listed in my court when I want to grant titles. It did not happen in 1.03 and 1.03a, but now, there are 6 or 7 dead courtiers who could get a title ! Some of them dead for a long time ( 20 or 30 years )

No it's not. I just started a new game as Duchy of Flanders under 1.03b and I have 2 claims on the title count of Gent ... and my brother has 2 claims on the title Duchy of Flanders.

And yes, those claims have been there for a looooong time, so it's not something that disappears if you wait for a month (or even 10 years for that matter).

Same here. I recently had a Kingdom of England game (the situation was eventually resolved with a cheat code) where one of my vassal dukes remained in power for 15 years after his own death.... under 1.03b
