Prestige Loss

After taking both provinces from the Emirate of Al Jazira, I contacted them to state my demands for peace. I found that whenever I force them to give up the claims on my new counties, I lose prestige. I went from 393 to 300 because I forced them to give up claims on two counties. Demands for money don't seem to play a part in this. Shouldn't I be getting more prestige for expanding my principality?

Edit: Demanding the total amount of money (133) drops prestige by 2 points.

OK, that's the second thread I read today with this problem.

I'd like people to give me more information about that:

In which situation would you lose prestige by winning a war ?

I don't know if somebody already posted an example in that other thread you mentioned, so I'll put my example up here.

It happens when I make demands for peace from a duchy or kingdom with no provinces left. To select them, I have to go to one of their vassal's character screens and get to the leige's country icon that way. They are listed as having 0 provinces in their demense and some negative income, but they still exist. I lose prestige when I take titles or money from them. After accepting my demands, they no longer exist.
