Stenkil claims County of Ösel. Bug?

Not really sure if this is a bug or not... but I would guess it is:
In my current Denmark game the king of Sweden (Stenkil) claimed the county of Ösel which at the time was part of the pagan chiefdom of Ösel. I can't see a legitimate way to do that in-game so I figured it's either a bug or some random event. Ideas?

I also had repeated CtDs in connection to the happenings which led me to believe it was a bug, but after tampering a bit with my firewall I haven't been able to reproduce the CtD so now I'm not so sure.

Linked is a save from a few days before the event (happens on June 9th) if anybody is interested:

the only way i got claims to pagan held titles was if i conquered the region and lost it afterwards. is that what happened?

As far as I know there was no war between Sweden and Ösel.

I've seen it happen again, some Swedish duke claimed the title 'Count of Västerbotten' which at the time also was a pagan chiefdom.
I now know there are events that give you claims, I wonder if that could be it? Could and event give you a claim that you couldn't otherwise get?

I've seen Castille make a claim against the Emirate of Sevilla, along with a corresponding drop of prestige. The AI does seem to occasionally make claims against religious enemies, but I have no idea what the conditions are that would cause it...

More occurences, anyone ?

If yes, we will definitely classify it as a bug.

I have made several of my christian relatives counts and dukes in the conquered regions of North Africa and the Middle East. And most of them seem to use their prestige to lay claim to neigboring provinces, regardless if they are ruled by christian or muslim leaders. It doesn't seem logical, that they use prestige to lay claims on heathen lands, that they could just attack anyway.

This is in 1.02.

OK, this is an AI bug.
